Get Started: Notifications

JumpCloud's Notifications system enhances the rule-based in-platform Device Monitoring and Alerting system by delivering critical notifications directly to your system and inbox through customizable channels. You can add specific URLs, email addresses or admin roles to define who you want to notify regarding critical alerts and and their related events.

Prerequisites

  • You need to have your administrator roles properly defined and users assigned to those roles within your JumpCloud directory. See Manage Admin Accounts to learn more.

To create Notification Channels:

  1. Login to JumpCloud Admin portal.
  2. In the left navigation, click Settings.
  3. Go to Notification Channels

JumpCloud lets you create the following notification channels:

  • Email -  Email channels enable you to get alert notifications delivered to specified email addresses or admin roles when a specific event occurs. See Create Email Channels to learn more.
  • Webhooks - Webhook channels enable you to automatically send alert notifications to another application or service when a specific event occurs. See Create Webhook Channels to learn more.
PREVIEW – SLACK CHANNELS

Important:

This feature is in Private Preview. If you don’t see it, contact your Account Manager to enable it. Features in Preview continue to evolve based on user feedback. If you have suggestions, let us know at the bottom of the article.

  • Slack: You can integrate the JumpCloud Slack App to send real time alerts and notifications to your configured slack channels and perform interactive actions such mark alerts as acknowledged or resolved. See Configure a Slack Channel to learn more.
