JumpCloud supports the following AI-powered features:
- AI Search - Supercharges Admin Portal search to help you find anything in your org, generate lists and reports, and get how-to instructions directly in the Admin Portal.Â
- MCP Server - Integrates JumpCloud with supported AI tools, such as code editors and large language models (LLMs), to build and enhance on your AI workflows.
- AI Commands Builder - Generates device commands with natural language, allowing you to describe an action and review the resulting code.
- AI Admin Assistant (Coming Soon) - Enables you to quickly view and manage users, devices, and groups through a chat interface without navigating the Admin Portal.

- These features are under active development. Certain functionality, naming, and branding may be subject to change.

- Every AI-powered action is logged as a Directory Insights (DI) event to help you understand, track, and audit usage.
Privacy and Security
JumpCloud's AI-powered features are designed to enhance your experience and streamline your work while maintaining data privacy and security standards. When you use any AI-powered feature, here's what happens with your data:
- Opt-In Only - All AI features are turned off by default and require your express opt-in.
- No LLM Training - Customer Data is not used to develop or train AI LLMs.
- Consent-Based Use - Customer Data will not be used to develop or train JumpCloud’s AI-powered features and models, except to provide the Service to you or if you provide express consent.
How Data is Processed
JumpCloud uses Google Gemini as the LLM for AI-powered features. Depending on the feature, the text you enter is interpreted by Gemini to determine an action, which is then facilitated using JumpCloud’s APIs.

No, our agreement with Google Gemini prevents Google from training their models based on the data sent to them.
We protect all Customer Data as described in the DAASA Terms and our DPA, including any Customer Data related to use of AI Features. We don’t share your Customer Data with third parties for training purposes.
