Improved HRIS Provisioning Experience

Building on recent updates to our SSO Applications page, we’ve enhanced the HRIS Provisioning experience for custom HRIS integrations. This update makes it easier to automate key lifecycle workflows—including onboarding (joiners), updates (movers), and deprovisioning (leavers)—while streamlining attribute-based access control for providers without pre-built JumpCloud connectors.

The new enhancements are:

1. Custom attribute support
2. EXPR migration
3. Custom headers
4. Flexible import scheduling

Custom attribute support

You can now map values, using a Direct Mapping or Expressions, from your HRIS provider to custom attributes in JumpCloud user records:

• If the attribute does not exist, it will be created and populated
• If the attribute exists, it will be updated

EXPR Migration

The expression language used for attribute mapping has been upgraded from GO templates to EXPR, providing more powerful and flexible expression capabilities. Keep an eye out for these migration prompts in your eligible connectors:

Custom Headers

You can now specify one or more (maximum of 5) custom HTTP header values as key-value pairs when configuring your custom API import connector. Custom headers support:

• Authentication headers, such as API keys
• Provider-specific headers (e.g., Personio)

Sensitive header values are handled consistently with the existing webhook headers implementation by using the Sensitive Value toggle. Enabling this toggle will mask sensitive values passed between the HRIS Provider and JumpCloud.

Flexible Import Scheduling

Admins can now choose from pre-defined scheduling frequencies for their import sync, rather than being limited to a single default schedule. This gives you more control over how frequently user data is synced from your HRIS provider into JumpCloud. Available options include:

• Hourly
• Daily
• Custom
  • Hourly at a specific minute
  • Daily
  • Twice a Day
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
