The governance and security requirements of modern IT rely upon direct, easy, and consolidated access to information. Unfortunately, that’s a feature that’s not been available in traditional on-premises directories such as Microsoft’s Active Directory. At JumpCloud, we’ve enhanced our admin User Interface (UI) to be in full alignment with what small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) need to perform and remain in compliance with the introduction of a new Device Panel Highlights tab. The tab displays the full context of what’s impacting an individual device, what’s happening with it, and who’s accessing it.

IT admins are typically required to invest time and effort into extracting the necessary data they need from device management and IAM platforms to perform anything from long-term reporting to simple day-to-day tasks. This can be a prohibitive amount of work, or only provide some information which makes the resulting task more difficult than it needs to be. With this release, JumpCloud admins have device health and activity information at their fingertips. Users will immediately notice that all device health and activity information is available in a central place versus toggling between tabs to complete the picture. This improvement to the user experience saves time and makes the tasks of governance/compliance much easier for IT teams. The image below illustrates how easy it is to get started with adding a user, a device group, or policy using the new Highlights tab.

Managing devices through the JumpCloud cloud directory platform is easy and free for up to 10 devices or users. The platform can also coexist within Active Directory domains to extend compliance and governance beyond Windows to mobile devices, Macs, and Linux.
