VaultOne has two distinct types of administrator permissions:
- Admin
- Master Admin
The Master Admin role is a highly privileged role with three exclusive permissions, giving them enhanced control over the entire platform. It is recommended to designate only one user as a Master Admin for more efficient and secure management.
Exclusive Permissions for the Master Admin
The three additional permissions available only to a Master Admin are:
- Bulk Management: This permission provides buttons to add, edit, or remove multiple resources (like computers) at once for the same group. This is a powerful feature for managing a large number of resources simultaneously.
- Move Permissions: The Master Admin can transfer all permissions from one user to another. This is particularly useful for security and continuity when an employee leaves the company and another person takes over their responsibilities.
- "Add Me" Button: This button allows the Master Admin to add themselves to all existing resources (credentials, computers, or websites) that have been registered by a user, granting them access to these resources. This does not, however, apply to private credentials.
