VaultOne: Add Private Passwords

VaultOne allows you to add private passwords, ensuring that these credentials are for your personal use and are not shared with other users by default.

Add a New Credential and Make it Private

  1. Log in to VaultOne platform.
  2. Go to the Credentials menu, and then click + Add credential.
  3. Enter necessary details in the General tab such as, Name, Username, Domain, Credential Type, and Tags.
  4. Go to the Sharing Preferences tab and turn on the toggle under Make it private. Activating this toggle hides it from users even with master admin privileges.

Note:

The Make it private toggle is visible only when the Allow users to store private secrets checkbox is selected. You can do this by navigating to Administration > Settings > User Management.

  1. Click + Add User and + Add Group to select and share the password with specific users and user groups.
  2. Enter all other necessary information for your credential.
  3. Click Save.

This password is now securely stored in your VaultOne account and is set to be private.
