VaultOne: Add and Secure a Website

Adding your websites to VaultOne is the most secure and efficient way to centralize credentials and control who has access. This guide will walk you through adding a new website, from basic setup to enabling advanced security with our Web Shield gateway.

Adding a New Website Asset

  1. Navigate to the Websites menu from your main dashboard.
  2. Click the + Add Website button.
  3. Fill in the basic details:
    • Name: A clear name to help you identify the site (e.g., "Company LinkedIn Account")
    • URI: The full website address (URL) for access
  4. Click the + Add button in the credentials section.
  5. Either create a new credential or select an existing one that's already stored in your vault.
  6. Select the Sharing Preferences tab.
  7. Add the specific users or groups who should have permission to use this credential.
  8. Click Save.

Your website is now successfully added!

Note:

To ensure every login is secure and audited, always launch websites from the VaultOne platform.

  • For standard sites: The VaultOne browser extension will securely and automatically fill in the credentials. The user never needs to see or type the password
  • For sites with Web Shield enabled: A new, completely isolated browser session will be created, providing the highest level of security
