JumpCloud® SaaS Management gives you visibility and control over shadow IT and SaaS app use within your org. Connectors detect shadow IT without adoption of a browser extension and provide a significant increase to the valuable usage and security insights.
The Notion Connector retrieves the user list from the Notion API. Using periodic polling for regular updates, it captures new users and new application associates to keep data accurate and up-to-date.
Notion User: Provides an up-to-date list of Notion users.
Prerequisites:
- You need an Notion account with admin access.
Considerations:
- Based on your organization’s size, the initial collection of data may take some time, up to an hour.
Configuring Notion
- Log in to your Notion account.
- Go to Settings > Connections and click Develop or manage integrations.
- Click New Integration, enter a name, and associate it with the desired workspace.
- Set the integration type to Internal.
- Click Save to configure the integration.
- Copy the Internal Integration Secret.
For security reasons, you'll only see the Internal Integration Secret once. Save it in a secure location before closing the window.
- Under User Capabilities, select Read user information including email addresses.
Configuring JumpCloud
- Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal.
- Go to SECURITY MANAGEMENT > SaaS Management > Settings.
- Under SaaS Management Settings, click the Connectors tab, then click + Add Connector.
- Click the Notion connector.
- Enter the following information:
- The Connector name.
- The Integration Token copied from Notion.
- Click Connect and then Save Connector. You will now see Notion in your list of Connectors.
If permissions are accidentally removed, or if the admin who configured left your organization, the connector will stop working and you will be prompted to Reconnect.
Required Permissions
- This connector requires the Read User information including email addresses capability for the integration to retrieve all users in your workspace.
Uninstall/Remove
- On the Connector’s detail page, click on Delete Connector and follow the prompts.
- To revoke the permissions granted to JumpCloud, delete the Integration Token you created in your Notion account.
