Troubleshoot: Password Manager Extension Approval Prompt Loops


The JumpCloud Password Manager Browser Extension asks the User to Approve the login request sent via a push notification on your desktop, but is stuck on a loop.


  1. Restart the JumpCloud Password Manager Desktop App (Windows and macOS).
  2. Restart the Web Browser.
  3. Once you’ve reopened the JumpCloud Password Manager Desktop App and your Web Browser, this issue should be resolved.
    1. If issue persists, restart the device entirely. Once the device has been restarted, ensure that the app is updated with a forced update of the app. See Troubleshoot: Update The JumpCloud Password Manager App.
    2. You may need to manually download the latest version of the Password Manager app on your device to update it. See Manual Update.
