Background
Lodgify, a comprehensive vacation rental platform designed to empower independent vacation rental hosts and property managers. As the company grew from a tight-knit startup into a nearly 400-person SaaS powerhouse, its IT team not only kept pace but scaled its operations with greater efficiency and foresight. By adopting JumpCloud’s unified platform, Lodgify centralized its identity, device, and SaaS management, transforming IT from a reactive function into a driver of growth and security.
The Challenge: Growth Outpaces Manual IT
Lodgify’s mission has always been to empower vacation rental hosts through technology. However, as their own team multiplied, they quickly recognized that their IT operations were efficient for a smaller team, but scaling exposed critical friction points:
- Security Gaps: Lodgify was missing critical Access Control and MDM capabilities and lacked fundamental security methods like SSO and MFA across internal tools.
- Zero Visibility: The IT team couldn’t determine which tools employees were using and lacked visibility into non-approved software installations and specific software versions running for each tool. This made it impossible to effectively patch known software vulnerabilities across the organization.
- Slow Onboarding/Offboarding: Managing MDM was a manual process of installing software on each laptop. Provisioning and de-provisioning access was slow, cumbersome, and required significant time and effort from IT staff.
Our time was the most expensive back then. We needed a platform that could scale as fast as we did.
—Aïda Brandia Rodero, IT Manager at Lodgify.
The Solution: Centralized IT with JumpCloud
Instead of layering on new tools, Lodgify chose to consolidate. JumpCloud’s open directory platform provided everything they needed to centralize identity, access and device management. They chose JumpCloud due to its comprehensive feature set, which enabled them to move away from fragmented tools and manual processes.
Key JumpCloud features Lodgify relies on daily include:
- Single Sign-On (SSO): Centralizes application access, reducing friction and enhancing security.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Provides consistent configuration and control across the employee fleet of laptops.
- Patch Command: Allows for custom software installation and management through custom commands.
With JumpCloud onboard, the time required for resolving basic login issues, provisioning access for an entire team, and automating access management during onboarding and off-boarding has improved a lot.

Unlocking New Value with Platform Prime
Seeking to further mature their security posture and gain deeper insight into their SaaS footprint, Lodgify upgraded to JumpCloud’s Platform Prime package. This move immediately delivered significant, unexpected value.
The most impactful Platform Prime feature proved to be Asset Management. This provided the IT team with the crucial visibility they needed into their devices and software inventory, which was previously a major gap.
“We were in the middle of a migration into another [asset management] tool, and we decided to move to JumpCloud before finishing our migration,” recalls Aïda.
The upgrade also provided SaaS Management, granting Lodgify greater oversight on tool usage that they were missing before, alongside the continued use of Conditional Policies to enforce access rules based on device and context.
The Results: Efficient, Secure, and Scalable
By adopting JumpCloud, and then leveraging the added capabilities of Platform Prime, Lodgify transformed its operational efficiency and security.
Drastically Improved Workflows:
Onboarding and off-boarding processes, once a significant time sink, now require just a few clicks. This includes automated suspension via tools like Gmail SSO.
Elevated Security Posture:
Policies and centralized MDM control eliminated the previous blind spots around software installation and patching vulnerabilities.
IT Focus Shift:
By reducing the burden of basic login and provisioning tasks, the IT team has been able to shift its focus to strategic projects that deliver significant customer value and improve other critical business areas.
When I joined Lodgify, I was very surprised by the features and potential of JumpCloud. I’ve used Okta for SSO, and other MDM tools like Airwatch or Zoho’s Desktop Engine before. Having an all-in-one solution in JumpCloud was a good surprise, and it’s becoming a more mature tool that I’m enthusiastically promoting in my circle of IT friends.

Lodgify continues to leverage JumpCloud’s newest features, such as Access Requests, SaaS Management, and Asset Management. These additions have improved visibility and streamlined internal workflows for the IT Team, ensuring its IT infrastructure is well-prepared for continued growth and heightened security.
