The Challenge
As PDS grew globally, identity management became decentralized. While some countries ran on-premises Active Directory, others ran Azure AD and some had no central directory at all. Coordinating this across internal IT teams and outsourced providers made consistent security policy difficult, even as regulatory requirements across Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. kept evolving. PDS needed one platform that could simplify administration while supporting a Zero Trust strategy.

PDS wanted more than a directory-services replacement. It needed a platform that unified single sign-on and device management, and could manage Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints consistently. JumpCloud’s integrated platform met both needs. Furthermore, its native integration with CrowdStrike lets the IT team strengthen identity, endpoint, and vulnerability management together.

Deployment & Impact
PDS is rolling out JumpCloud in a phased approach over two financial years — starting with critical roles, business-critical locations, and priority user groups, then extending to the rest of the organization. The rollout centres on company-owned devices, which make up roughly 95% of the endpoint fleet, with BYOD supported in limited, policy-governed cases.
