LOUISVILLE, Colo. — April. 18, 2023 — JumpCloud Inc. today announced it has acquired the technology of Zercurity, a UK-based cybersecurity firm offering advanced device-based monitoring, compliance, benchmarking, and risk-mitigating capabilities. The acquisition will accelerate the companies’ shared vision of enabling workforces to operate safely in any model: within offices, hybrid, or completely remote.
JumpCloud offers an open directory platform that provides an open identity and access control layer for nearly 200,000 customers and managed service providers (MSPs) in 160 countries to provide secure, frictionless, access to all of the resources employees must access regardless of their working location or the devices they are working from. By adding Zercurity’s technology into JumpCloud’s platform, customers will benefit from a deeper, more advanced, set of capabilities to better protect their workforces. Deeper device trust and posturing, sophisticated asset management, and control and compliance benchmarking and reporting are examples of the depth JumpCloud customers will benefit from in supporting their mission to secure their global workforces.
“We are committed to offering organizations a simple, cost-effective method to meet the identity transformation goals of modern, cloud-forward organizations,” said Greg Keller, co-founder and chief strategy officer, JumpCloud. “Adding Zercurity’s solutions enriches JumpCloud’s platform and gives IT teams everywhere a more robust, unified approach to security and IT management, one that is a huge improvement over juggling disparate point solutions both for employees and the IT admins who manage them. We’re excited for Zercurity to contribute to our continued innovation and deliver even more value to JumpCloud’s customers.”
“Our vision for a streamlined approach that allows SecOps, ITOps, and exec teams to orchestrate a systematic response for complete security aligns perfectly with JumpCloud’s open directory approach,” said Hugh Neale, CEO, Zercurity, who joined JumpCloud as principal engineer as part of the acquisition. “JumpCloud sits at the center of identity transformation, and we’re excited to be part of delivering the industry go-to for centralizing all critical functions of user identity and device management.”
