We recently caught up with Jordan Berry about what it’s like to work as a Directory Solutions Advisor (DSA) at JumpCloud.
When did you start working at JumpCloud? December 2020.
Can you run us through a day in the life of your role at JumpCloud? Reaching out to prospects who engage with us via various lead sources – free account creations, webinar attendees, resource downloads, demo requests, etc. I provide high-level demos to prospects who schedule time with us, engage with prospects on our chat bot, and cover the sales inboxes and sales line. Lots of multitasking!
How have you grown as an individual since starting at the company? I’ve certainly learned a lot more about the world of directories, how important security is for companies, and making it easy to manage. I’ve gotten better at organization, time management, and taking on more initiatives.
Pick a JumpCloud value (Build Connections, Think Big, 1% Better Every Day) and share an example of how you lived that value recently. 1% Better Every Day – The DSAs are working with our Sales Enablement team to become more comfortable demoing the platform and learning about all the features we offer.
What is something that you have accomplished at JumpCloud that you are proud of? I was recently promoted to team lead. I’ve taken on more responsibilities with the reporting side of things, team coverage, and getting to partake in candidate interviews!
What keeps you energized about working at JumpCloud? The constant growth of JumpCloud. Acquisitions, tons of new team members, global expansion – it’s all very exciting!
What do you like to do on your days off? Skiing, biking, golfing, traveling, hiking, rafting, park days, and a good happy hour.
What advice do you have for prospective JumpCloud candidates? Watch some of the JumpCloud video tutorials and think about how you demonstrate the JumpCloud values.
What book or movie have you recently read/seen and why would you recommend it? Behave: The Biology of Humans at our Best and Worst. It is an interesting read on why humans do the things they do — from a psychological, biological, and neurological perspective. There’s some humor sprinkled in as well.
If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? My mother’s lasagna!
Do you have any pets as in-house colleagues? We have a few! I have a weenie dog named Tucker who also gets to live with his two best friends, a frenchy named Harvey and an aussie named Boomer.
