At JumpCloud®, our core philosophy has always been to make it simple for our customers to do business with us. We’ve always wanted IT administrators to easily, quickly, and transparently validate that our Directory-as-a-Service® (DaaS) platform is right for them. In short, we want our product to speak for itself.

The COVID-19 pandemic puts a spotlight on how different organizations do business, so we want to take a moment to clearly state who we are. The vendor you choose matters, and you should know their philosophies. Here’s how we want to do business with you.

Try Before You Buy For As Long As You Want 

We offer our entire platform for free. You are only limited by the number of users and systems you can add to the platform, and that’s 10 of each. Smaller organizations with up to 10 users can use our platform without any charge indefinitely. Our managed service provider (MSP) partners get 10 free users and systems for each of their sub-accounts.

So explore the entire platform and try every feature, and if you need any help, we’re here. As your business grows and you have more than 10 users or systems, just let us know and we’ll uncap your account for a limited time so that you can see our cloud directory at scale.

Premium Support 24×7 With Engineer Support For the First 10 Days 

Every new account, regardless of size or location, can get help with their trial or implementation 24×7 during the first 10 days of account life. We know that you’re extremely busy, so hopefully our engineers can accelerate installing and using DaaS. Simply click on the chat bot in the JumpCloud admin console and you’ll be connected to a live engineer who can help. Or, drop us a note at support@jumpcloud.com.

You Pick Your Pricing Model

We give you options on how you pay for the JumpCloud platform.We offer two pricing models so you can pick what features you want to use with the Build Your Own Directory model, or you can purchase our Pro plan for access to the entire platform.

Flexible Contracts 

We’ve never understood why companies force their customers into long-term contracts and don’t offer flexible terms. We hear of big companies in our space boasting of the 5 year contracts they have locked their customers into. Sure, their customers may get a little bit of a better price, but does any organization want to be locked in to a solution for that period of time? Is locking an account the best situation for that customer?

We’d rather bank on building the best platform as our strategy for long-term customers, rather than legal contracts. We let customers choose what is most important to them. We offer monthly plans if flexibility is important, and annual/multi-year plans for those that want to lock in pricing at a lower rate. Go monthly or annual/multi-year, it’s your choice — keep the flexibility to do what’s best for your organization.

No Minimum Fees 

When organizations have heavy enterprise sales and marketing models, minimum fees make a lot of sense. Adding another customer costs them a lot of money, so they need to recoup all those costs from their customers. 

We have a different model. As a company focused on building a self-serve product, we let you buy what you need. No minimum fees, and no sales people reaching out if you don’t need help. We know that if we do a great job with our platform, you’ll want to purchase more or let your friends know about JumpCloud. Whether you have 11 users or 11,000 users, we’ll work with you in the way that best suits you.

No Hidden Professional Services & Implementation Costs 

We work hard to build a product that you can sign up for online and have set up within minutes. If you need help, our support team is always there. We don’t charge for our standard support services, though we do offer Premium Support for those interested in SLAs with monetary credits, around the clock help, training/implementation support, and more. We will always reach out to you about any changes in account pricing so you’ll never be surprised by a charge, should we even make one. We are committed to making our product easy to implement without adding hidden implementation costs.

We’ve developed deep dive video training series, step-by-step implementation guides, and big picture strategy documents — all of which are publicly available for free. 

We also host weekly office hours on Fridays where our IT admins and experts come together to share their knowledge on IT topics with the public. We believe that sharing what we’ve learned is beneficial for the community, and we hope that community will share their feedback with us so we can all grow together.
