Users: Connect Claude to the AI Gateway

To securely access your company's enterprise applications directly from Claude Desktop, you must connect it to the JumpCloud AI Gateway. Connecting through JumpCloud ensures your enterprise data remains secure and your access is verified.

Configuring Claude 

To add the JumpCloud AI Gateway to Claude:

  1. Go to Claude in your browser.
  2. Go to Customize > Connectors.
  3. Click + and select Add custom connector. 
  4. Enter a Name, for example JumpCloud AI Gateway.
  5. Under Remote MCP server URL, enter https://ai.jumpcloud.com/mcp 
  6. Click Add.
  7. Proceed to Authenticating Your Tools.

Authenticating Your Tools

Once the AI Gateway is added to Claude, you must connect to it, then authorize and authenticate to the specific enterprise tools (like Atlassian or GitHub) before the AI can access them.

  1. In Claude > Connectors, click Connect.
  2. You'll be redirected to the JumpCloud AI Gateway authorization page.
  3. Under Authorize Tool Access for Claude, review the list of available enterprise tools. Select the checkbox next to each tool you want your AI client to access.
  1. Authenticate to the selected tools based on their required connection method:
  2. Once all required tools display a green Connected status, click Authorize tools at the bottom of the page.
  3. You are automatically redirected back to Claude Desktop. Your AI client can now use the tools authorized through the gateway.
