JumpCloud Agent Release Notes for April 20, 2026

New Agent release (version  2.113.1)

Note:
  • Agent releases are rolled out over the course of the week. You may not see these changes right away.

macOS and Windows

Enhancements

  • Enhanced login_attempt events in Directory Insights to include auth_context for delegated Google logins. This allows administrators to audit if device authentication was confirmed via Google or a local fallback.

macOS

Enhancements

  • Enhanced password synchronization to prompt Google IdP users for a resync if they change their password directly in macOS System Settings.
  • Improved password synchronization reliability by prompting Google IdP users to sync their credentials on device unlock if their local password no longer matches their Google password.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue during Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) where the JumpCloud service account occasionally failed to create. This restores unattended disk encryption and remote management prerequisites without requiring admins to re-enroll devices.
  • Resolved an issue with downstream password syncs by ensuring the agent updates macOS password-forward hashing when the Google password matches but the local password does not.

Windows

Enhancements

  • Improved interactive logons to directly validate Google-sourced passwords, ensuring delegated users sign in with their Google credentials and reducing lockouts.
  • Enhanced the tray app interface with clearer password expiration alerts and improved MFA button ordering, making self-service flows easier for end users and reducing support tickets.
  • Improved the JumpCloud Login Window UI to reduce visual flickering during connectivity or agent state changes, and removed redundant OIDC refresh notifications.

Fixes

  • Fixed CPU usage and responsiveness issues with the JumpCloud Tray app on multi-user Windows devices which could appear like unexpected server slowdowns.
  • Resolved an issue where duplicate or conflicting JumpCloud login tiles appeared during agent upgrades. This restores predictable login experiences for standardized images, including scenarios utilizing the "Do not display last user name" policy.
  • Fixed local password drift by blocking Ctrl+Alt+Del password changes at the credential provider for Google-delegated users, ensuring adherence to IdP policies.

Linux

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Linux policies failed to apply correctly for environments hosted in the India data center.
