VaultOne: Use SMS for MFA

VaultOne allows you to use your cell phone number as an additional authentication factor, providing an extra layer of security for your account. This guide explains how to set up and use SMS-based multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Note:

If multi-factor authentication is not yet enabled for your account, you will need to activate it first. Please refer to the separate guide "How to enable multi-factor authentication."

Access My Settings

  1. Log in to your VaultOne platform.
  2. Click on your user icon in the top-right corner of the screen and go to My settings.

Register Your Cell Phone Number

  1. Enter your cell phone number into the designated field.
  2. Click Verify.

Validate Your Phone Number

  1. A verification code will be sent to your phone via SMS.
  2. Enter this code into the field provided on your VaultOne screen.
  3. This confirms your number is registered with your account.

After your cell phone number is validated, the MFA via SMS option will become available. When you log in to VaultOne, you will be prompted for an additional authentication factor, and you can select the option to receive a code via SMS to complete your login.
