Windows MDM Policy Management with CSPs

A Configuration Service Provider (CSP) is a Windows component that provides access to a specific setting. You can configure CSPs to manage settings across an entire fleet of Windows devices.

Note:

Windows Push Notification Services (WNS) runs by default in the background and enables JumpCloud MDM servers to push policy updates to devices enrolled in JumpCloud MDM. When policies are added, modified, or deleted, devices enrolled in JumpCloud MDM are notified by WNS to check-in and apply the policy updates. Windows MDM enrolled devices receive notifications to check-in via WNS, and no longer wait 30 minutes to poll for work.

CSP Policy Library

IT Admins can configure and apply the following CSP policies to Windows 10/11 devices enrolled in JumpCloud MDM:

Bluetooth Policy

IT Admins can configure Bluetooth restrictions for Windows devices using this policy. See Create a Windows Bluetooth Policy to learn more.

Install Certificate Policy

IT Admins can configure the install certificate for Windows devices using this policy. See Create a Windows Install Certificate Policy to learn more.

VPN Policy

IT Admins can configure a VPN profile policy for Windows devices to securely and remotely access the organization’s network. See Create a Windows VPN Policy to learn more.

WiFi Configuration Policy

IT Admins can configure a wireless network for Windows devices using this policy. See Create a Windows WiFi Configuration Policy to learn more.

SCEP Profiles Policy

IT Admins can configure Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) for your Windows devices. See Create a Windows SCEP Profiles Policy to learn more.

Control Conflict Policy

The ControlPolicyConflict CSP policy is automatically enabled and runs by default in the background. This policy scans for conflicts between MDM policies and other group policies to ensure that the MDM-driven device configuration policies take precedence over any others. If conflicts between MDM policies and group policies arise, they are automatically resolved.
