In VaultOne, you can efficiently transfer permissions from one user to another. This is especially useful for maintaining continuity and ensuring resources aren't left unmanaged when a user is modified or deleted.
Important:
This functionality is exclusively available to Master Administrators.
Transferring permissions from one user to another
- Log in to VaultOne as a Master Administrator.
- Go to Administration > Users.
- Find the user whose permissions you want to move (the source user) and click the Action button next to that user's name.
- From the dropdown menu, select Move Permission.
- In the subsequent window, you can choose which specific permissions you wish to transfer from the source user. You can select individual permissions or a group of them.
- After selecting the desired permissions, click Select target user.
- When prompted, select the new user who will receive these permissions (the target user).
- Once you've selected the target user, confirm the transfer.
Once you move the selected permissions from the source user to the target user, all resources stay assigned and access control remains robust.
