VaultOne: Configure RemoteApp Mode

To leverage the RemoteApp mode with your VaultOne, you'll first need to enable and configure it on your target server.

Enabling Remote Desktop Services on Server

  1. Access the Windows Server that hosts the application that you want to use with the Remote App.
  2. Open Server Manager.
  3. Click Add roles and features.
  4. Go to Server Roles, and select Remote Desktop Services.
  5. In the Select role services section, select the required options. (Typically, no other changes are required beyond the default Remote Desktop Services options.)
  6. Click Next.
  7. Now install the selected services.
  8. Once the installation is complete, restart the server.
  9. After the server has restarted, open Server Manager again.
  10. Click Remote Desktop Services.
  11. Then, click QuickSessionCollection to continue with the configuration.
  1. In the RemoteApp Programs column, click on TASKS.
  2. Select Publish RemoteApps Programs.
  3. Choose any software you wish to make available to users in RemoteApp mode.
  4. Confirm your selection to publish the chosen applications.

Configuring RemoteApp in VaultOne

  1. Login to VaultOne.
  2. Go to the Computers section.
  3. Locate the server where you just enabled RemoteApp mode.
  4. Click Actions, then select Edit for that server.
  5. In the RemoteApp section, provide the data that was configured on the server.
  6. The Application Name is a mandatory field that must exactly match the name of the application as published on the server.
  7. The path and arguments fields are optional.
