More on JumpCloud’s System Management

One of the most core parts of directory services is having the ability to manage systems. Having a systems management capability ensures that IT admins can secure devices, keep systems in check with policies, and support remote devices. Jumpcloud’s systems management functionality does just this, by executing commands and setting policies for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.

When you combine these features with JumpCloud’s core authentication and authorization capabilities, you have a comprehensive solution to control devices in the office.

What sets JumpCloud’s system management apart from the competition is the fact that it can be ran on any Mac, Linux, or Windows system, anywhere. While an AD installation is only designed for on-prem Microsoft solutions, Directory-as-a-Service is able to control a cross-platform environment and can manage remote or local systems.

In addition, with the Commands and Policies features admins can choose from created policies or script custom commands to accomplish any task that is needed. These can then be executed on an ad hoc basis, scheduled, or triggered via a webhook from an external system.

Managing Systems With JumpCloud

The management of Mac and Linux systems has been a common pain point for IT admins for far too long. The desire to address this pain and to solve this long-standing problem is one of the main reasons that we created JumpCloud. No organization should have their systems or protocols limited by the capabilities of a near two decade old directory. With Directory-as-a-Service, IT is able to regain control over the modern office.

Check out the cloud-based directory for yourself by signing up for a free account. Your first 10 users are free forever, with no credit card required.
