The tech ecosystem evolves faster every day, whether it’s new innovations or emerging threats. Attending a conference is a great way to stay on top of everything that’s going on in IT and cybersecurity. Conferences provide a lot of different perspectives on industry trends, from leaders at the premiere tech companies to peers you have lunch with at the events. 

There are IT and cybersecurity conferences for everyone. Some events focus on C-level execs and senior IT pros, some take on hacking and cybersecurity, and others attract a wide audience that ranges from seasoned professionals to students. 

Top Events for IT Professionals in 2025

These are the top 11 IT and cybersecurity conferences in 2025, in no particular order:

RSA Conference (RSAC)

  • Dates and location: This year’s RSA Conference runs from April 28 – May 1, 2025 in San Francisco. 
  • Cost and registration: There are options to attend the expo only or the full conference that start at $99 and top out at $2,995. Taking advantage of early bird registration by Jan. 10 can save up to $800 on the cost of admission. 
  • Target audience: RSAC has programs for cybersecurity professionals at all levels, from CISOs to security engineers to students. 
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: The lineup hasn’t been released yet, but past RSAC speakers include CEOs and CISOs, leading cybersecurity researchers, government officials, and legal experts.
  • Tracks and topics: This year’s conference will cover trending topics in cyber defense. Plus, the Innovation Sandbox and Launch Pad showcase groundbreaking developers and startups. 
  • Training and certifications: Continuing Education (CE) credits can be earned through attending designated sessions with RSA industry partners. 
  • Travel and accommodations: RSA partners with onPeak to provide discounted rates at several hotels across San Francisco. 
  • Past highlights: The conference always boasts some well-known names, including celebrities like Jason Sudeikis and Helen Mirren, industry gurus like Bruce Schneier, and state officials like Anthony Blinken. Programs like the CISO Boot Camp and College Day are popular with attendees.

London Tech Week

  • Dates and location: London Tech Week is set for June 9-13, 2025 in Olympia, London.
  • Cost and registration: Full details are yet to be released, but you can sign up to receive registration updates on the website.
  • Target audience: With over 45,000 attendees, 5,000 startups, and 1,000 investors London Tech Week connects the entire tech ecosystem including startups, VCs, investors, developers, data scientists, IT pros, and enterprise organizations. 
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: This year’s lineup has yet to be announced, but past conferences always include some of the top players in tech, as well as new innovators and government officials.
  • Tracks and topics: Some key topics at this year’s conference include AI, information security, blockchain and cryptocurrency, data science, sustainable tech, quantum computing, and digital transformation.
  • Training and certifications: There are a wide variety of hands-on workshops, training sessions, and certifications offered through partner organizations and exhibitors.

  • Past highlights: Recent presenters include UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, and Demis Hassabis and Lila Ibrahim of Google DeepMind. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and Sundar Pichai have all made appearances in the past.

AWS re:Invent

  • Dates and location: Amazon Web Services re:Invent brings all the latest in the cloud to Las Vegas every December. 2025’s exact dates are still to be announced, but it’s not too late to register for the 2024 conference from December 2-6. And if you need to justify your trip to your boss, re:Invent can help you with that too.
  • Cost and registration: Individual passes cost around $2,000. Group discounts and early bird registration are available.
  • Target audience: This event caters specifically to IT pros and customers of AWS, like developers, system admins, DevOps engineers, cloud architects, and data scientists. 
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: 2025’s lineup has yet to be announced, but you’re assured to see AWS executives, other industry leaders, and AWS customers presenting. 2024’s lineup includes Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, Matt Garman, CEO of AWS, and other VPs and scientists. 
  • Tracks and topics: This is the top cloud conference in the country, including hundreds of sessions covering the full range of AWS and cloud services, plus the latest in security, generative AI, and Web3 advances.
  • Training and certifications: Whether you’re an experienced professional or just getting started, re:Invent offers training and certification to expand your capabilities with AWS.

  • Past highlights: AWS is always full of surprises, with announcements on new features and services and a lot of high-profile tech execs.

Black Hat USA

  • Dates and location: The Black Hat USA conference brings cybersecurity pros to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from August 2-7, 2025. There’s also a virtual attendance option. 
  • Cost and registration: Registration begins in May, with early bird discounts starting at around $2,500 for in person or $1,200 for virtual. Discounts are available for groups, academics, and students.
  • Target audience: Black Hat’s focus on cybersecurity draws IT security specialists, ethical hackers, researchers, developers, risk managers and CISOs, policy makers, students, and professors.
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: Speakers will be announced closer to the conference, but Black Hat always features the top names in cybersecurity. Past presenters include Charlie Miller, Dan Kaminsky, and HD Moore.
  • Tracks and topics: The event covers emerging topics in cybersecurity like offensive security, ransomware, privacy, cryptography, and AI. Sessions are varied for different audiences, from hands-on labs to risk management discussions.
  • Training and certifications: At Black Hat you can complete training sessions that qualify for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits from ISC2 and CompTIA.
  • Travel and accommodations: Mandalay Bay offers plenty of options for attendees, and there are usually other Black Hat partner deals with other Vegas hotels.
  • Past highlights: Black Hat is famous for its groundbreaking security research, including live hacking demos plus in-depth technical discussions and networking.

Women in Tech

  • Dates and location: The Women in Tech Conference is a virtual event scheduled for May 20-22 of 2025. This year, select cities will host satellite in-person events too.
  • Cost and registration: Tickets range from $99 – $1,000, with discounts of 50% or more for early bird registration. There are also memberships and scholarships available too.
  • Target audience: This is a networking “festival” and webinar for women in the industry, minorities, allies, and advocates. 
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: There are over 700 speakers lined up, from companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and Meta. 
  • Tracks and topics: Trending topics like AI and data science, UX design, digital migration, and cloud tech will be covered. The conference has an overall focus on leadership strategies and diversity. 
  • Training and certifications: No specific certifications are offered, but there are workshops covering a variety of areas.
  • Travel and accommodations: Register your interest on the conference website for updates on satellite events.
  • Past highlights: The conference is full of networking opportunities and inspiration from women across tech like Audrey Tang, Christine Sarros, and Sonakshi Pandey.

Gartner Flagship Events

  • Dates and location: Gartner hosts several events across the globe for IT pros. In 2025, multiple events are scheduled for the U.S. The Gartner CIO Leadership Forum is scheduled for Feb. 10-11 in Hollywood, FL and Feb. 24-25 in Phoenix. The Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo is set for Oct. 20-24 in Orlando. The Gartner Digital Workplace Summit will be held May 12-14 at the Gaylord Convention Center in Grapevine, TX. The Gartner Tech Growth & Innovation Conference takes place from March 17-19 in Austin.
  • Cost and registration: Costs vary depending on the conference, but on average early bird pricing falls between $2,000 – $3,000. Discounts are available for select groups or returning attendees.
  • Target audience: Gartner events are designed for leaders and senior decision-makers like CIOs, strategists, cybersecurity and business managers. 
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: Prominent tech leaders like Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Zoom CEO Eric Yuan are past presenters, along with authors and thought leaders like Malcolm Gladwell. Check the Gartner website for specifics about each conference. 
  • Tracks and topics: Each conference is tailored to specific topics. The Leadership Forum brings 500 CIOs together. The IT Symposium/Xpo covers digital transformation, cloud strategies, cybersecurity, and AI. The Digital Workplace Summit includes remote and hybrid work strategies and automation. The Tech Growth & Innovation conference talks emerging tech, scaling businesses, and customer trends.
  • Training and certifications: There are no direct certifications offered, but there are plenty of workshops and unique opportunities for one-on-one learning sessions.
  • Travel and accommodations: There are hotel recommendations for each event, check for details when you register.
  • Past highlights: Gartner is known for interactive workshops, some of the best peer networking opportunities for IT leadership, and prominent speakers like Jeff Bezos and Sundar Pichai.

CompTIA ChannelCon 

  • Dates and location: CompTIA ChannelCon takes place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN from July 29-31, 2025.
  • Cost and registration: Registration for 2025 will be available soon. Many CompTIA members can attend for free. Costs for nonmembers are usually around $1,000. 
  • Target audience: The conference focuses on MSPs, VARs, and related distributors and vendors.
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: The 2025 lineup has yet to be announced. The conference features a slate of CompTIA executives and other industry thought leaders. 
  • Tracks and topics: Expect sessions dedicated to MSP success, business strategies, cybersecurity, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Training and certifications: ChannelCon includes workshops with direct applications to CompTIA certifications like A+, Security+, and Cybersecurity Trustmark.
  • Travel and accommodations: Discounted rooms at the convention center are available, with more info coming soon. 
  • Past highlights: ChannelCon always comes with great networking opportunities, the latest innovations and showcases from vendors, and on-site certification exams. 2024 speakers included author Kara Swisher, and many execs from CompTIA.

Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit

  • Dates and location: The Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit will take place from June 9-11, 2025 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD. 
  • Cost and registration: Registration is available now with an early bird price of $4,325. There are additional discounts for government employees and groups.
  • Target audience: The event is designed for execs and managers like CISOs, strategists, and other senior-level IT personnel.
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: Learn from Gartner analysts and other industry experts in cybersecurity.
  • Tracks and topics: The 2025 conference features topics like cyber risk management, leadership, infrastructure and data security, and spotlights on government and mid-sized enterprises.

DEF CON 33

  • Dates and location: The next DEF CON takes place August 7-10, 2025 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

  • Target audience: DEF CON is known for its unique atmosphere that attracts everyone from CISOs to underground hackers.
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: Speakers aren’t announced until much closer to the event, but expect to hear from cybersecurity leaders, hackers, and the occasional celebrity.
  • Tracks and topics: The conference covers cutting-edge cybersecurity and cyber threats. It’s known for its specialized hands-on “villages” and live hacking demos.
  • Training and certifications: DEF CON offers no certifications.

  • Past highlights: Speakers include famous hackers like Kevin Mitnick, pros like Bruce Schneier, and even presentations by the NSA. 

InfoSec World

  • Dates and location: InfoSec World will be held October 25-27, 2025 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Florida.
  • Cost and registration: Early bird registration is open now with rates starting at $1,795 for the conference, and $3,195 for a World Pass. Discounts are available for government, nonprofit, and academic attendees. Teams can save up to 25%. 
  • Target audience: InfoSec is geared toward senior-level cybersecurity pros managers, directors, CISOs, and compliance officers.
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: The 2025 lineup has yet to be announced, but past speakers include Lisa Lee of Microsoft, Florence Lewine of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Zack Kass Former Head of GTM at OpenAI.
  • Tracks and topics: Topics include emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, compliance, vendor risk management, SMB security, and quantum computing.
  • Training and certifications: There are no direct certifications, but there are workshops to earn CPE credits.
  • Travel and accommodations: The Disney Coronado Springs Resort is the official hotel of the conference. 
  • Past highlights: InfoSec has been happening for over 30 years and is known for industry-leading speakers and workshops.

Zero Trust World 2025

  • Dates and location: Zero Trust World is set for February 19-21, 2025 in Orlando.
  • Cost and registration: An all-access pass is $495, and it’s fully refundable if you pass the conference’s Cyber Hero Certification.
  • Target audience: Zero Trust World is designed for cybersecurity pros, IT decision-makers, and MSPs. 
  • Keynote speaker and presenters: Expect to hear from leading experts in the industry including ThreatLocker. 
  • Tracks and topics: The conference covers Zero Trust frameworks, identity and access management, and threat detection and response.
  • Training and certifications: Attendees can take the Cyber Hero Certification exam for a full refund of their registration fee. 
  • Travel and accommodations: Discounted group rates are available at the Caribe Royale hotel where the conference takes place. 
  • Past highlights: Zero Trust World is a newer event that’s made a mark with hands-on experiences and vendor showcases.

MSP Conferences

Several MSP-focused conferences have launched recently as MSPs play a bigger role in the IT ecosystem. 

MSP EXPO 2025 

MSP Expo runs from February 12-15 2025 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Early bird passes start at $149. There are both Tech and Business tracks offered, with industry-leading speakers. Programs are designed to show how MSPs can take advantage of the latest trends to grow and maximize their potential. Discounted rooms are available via the conference website.

MSP Summit 2025

The MSP Summit takes place in Orlando from September 15-17, 2025. Passes start at $400 and discounted rooms are available at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort. MSPWorld Inspire

MSP Alliance hosts MSPWorld Inspire in Las Vegas in Spring 2025. The event focuses on optimizing MSP operations with advice from industry experts and influencers and networking with MSP execs.
