Are You Ready for macOS Big Sur? Choose JumpCloud MDM
With Apple’s fall release of macOS® 11.0 Big Sur, Mac admins must choose an Apple MDM to manage macOS devices. JumpCloud’s MDM and Policies for macOS will support Big Sur — and you can leverage ready-to-use Policies to easily migrate and enroll in JumpCloud MDM, and even block end users from upgrading to Big Sur until your organization is ready.
Read this blog for more information on JumpCloud MDM and getting ready for Big Sur.
If you have questions about getting ready for Big Sur with JumpCloud MDM, don’t miss JumpCloud Office Hours on August 28 with Product Manager Scott Reed, who’ll answer questions live for current and future JumpCloud Mac admins.

Other Things You Should Know
- Customize Mac Device Management: Once you’re enrolled in JumpCloud MDM, use the Custom Configuration Profile Policy to customize end users’ macOS settings, including WiFi and certificates, allowing you to easily roll out changes across Mac devices. This is also a requisite step for certain payloads like kernel extensions, whitelisting, and privacy preferences that can only be delivered to systems via MDM.
- New Connectors for Fast User Provisioning: Streamline your Salesforce and Atlassian user lifecycle management with JumpCloud’s new SCIM connectors. The new connectors allow you to create, configure, and deprovision users in these apps from JumpCloud, making it even easier to onboard and offboard users wherever you and they are working.
