Troubleshoot: Restore a Deleted User

JumpCloud does not allow restoration of deleted users; however you can re-create these users with details from Directory Insights.

Symptoms

User has been deleted, possibly unintentionally, and you want to restore this user.

Resolution

User Directory Insights to capture user details and then re-create the user.

  1. In the main left nav, go to Insights > Directory.
  2. For Event Type filter, select user_delete and then expand the result details.
  3. Select the JSON tab to view details.
  4. From here, you can gather user details such as username, email address, first name, and last name. You can then use this information to re-create the user.

Note:

This event will be available for 90 days.
