Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is on-demand software that’s transformed the way companies build business infrastructure. As a licensed-and-delivered software, companies are leveraging SaaS to meet a variety of corporate needs as a cost-effective, scalable and flexible alternative to on-premises solutions.
In fact, SaaS is expected to represent 85% of all new software applications by this year, growing at five times the pace of on-premise solutions.
But not all SaaS repercussions are good. With the onset of increasing use of SaaS solutions, businesses are grappling with the fact that all the benefits are joined by some amount of risk.
