Use Your JumpCloud Data for Compliance

By Rajat Bhargava Posted June 1, 2014

We recently added functionality allowing you to download your login event data via our REST APIs from the JumpCloud® Directory-as-a-Service® console. If you are interested in using our unified cloud directory for compliance purposes or leveraging the data for further analysis, now you can do so via our APIs! The APIs output JSON and detail login events and failures from a variety of different services, including systems, LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, and more.

It’s no secret that compliance around user access is a difficult problem. JumpCloud makes it much easier. JumpCloud tracks all logins (successful and failed), when they occurred, and where they were from.

Are you more interested in leveraging the data for security than you are in compliance? You can import your JumpCloud event data into your log management solution, SEIM, or other analytics tool for further analysis. You can look at what IPs are attacking you and distribution of logins.

Are You Using Your Data For Compliance Or Otherwise?

In any event (pun intended), there are a multitude of uses for the data. I’m sure that we haven’t begun to even think of how our awesome users want to use this data. However, we are excited to provide it. And if you are inclined, please share with us how you are using your data. The learning would help us continue to improve the product!
