Tip Of The Hat To AWS & Werner

By Rajat Bhargava Posted November 14, 2013

Werner Vogels (AWS CTO) was kind enough to invite me and about 20 other co-founders / CTOs Tuesday night for an intimate conversation around cloud, DevOps, technology, and various other fun topics. Two of our fellow Foundry portfolio companies were represented in MapBox and SendGrid. It was a great evening and it was nice to hear from some really interesting folks from around the world who are all doing amazing and interesting things in AWS environments and on top of AWS.

AWS Works Closely With Customers And Partners

The group agreed not to publicly discuss details (or more precisely attribute!) about the conversation. However, I can say that the folks at AWS are really pushing hard to work closely with their customers and partners. Werner even took the time to talk about what he knew about many of the companies in the room. He also gave us his thoughts on where we fit in to others in our respective industries. It was nice to hear his thoughts on JumpCloud® and where we are headed. This was a really nice touch to the evening! In a nutshell: Amazon and the AWS team have their acts together and are really cranking on evolving the industry…and Werner is truly leading by example. Well done, Werner!
