We spent the first half of the year focusing on deepening platform functionality, continuously making it more secure and resilient. We’ve also added new technologies, to consolidate everything you need into one pane of glass.
In the second half of 2022, we’re shifting our focus to unification. In this challenging time, we’re building a campaign around helping IT admins make better decisions to reduce costs and drive efficiencies.
Read on to learn about our latest releases, updates, and offerings.
Simplified OS Patch Management
Admins can now seamlessly manage cross-platform patch policies using automated OS Patch Policy default groups. These groups are built around a deployment ring implementation model.
Each OS Patch Policy default group is configured with best practice defaults: one for macOS, one for Windows, and one for Linux (Ubuntu). With these out-of-the-box policies, you can spend more of your time driving strategic initiatives rather than hand holding a never-ending patch process.
New Policies for macOS and iOS
We’ve just added a series of new management policies for iOS and macOS devices that make device management even more powerful and flexible.
These updates include the ability to make tightly controlled supervised iOS devices, and new policies for macOS around key management tool areas, like system extensions, kernel extensions, and privacy preferences.

Example policies include:
- Configuring App Notifications (iOS, macOS)
- Restrictions for Supervised iOS Devices
- Restrict Erase All Contents and Settings (iOS, macOS)
- NTP Server & TimeZone
JumpCloud Agent for Windows AD and AAD-Joined Devices
If your organization has on-prem Active Directory (AD) or Azure Active Directory (AAD) joined Windows devices, you can install the JumpCloud agent on those devices and bring them into your JumpCloud dashboard.
Doing so allows you to take advantage of JumpCloud’s System Insights feature and view information such as:
- Reliability of your organization systems
- Memory and storage statistics
- Systems that are protected by disk encryption
- Hardware inventory details
