Everyone here at JumpCloud® thinks that what we are doing is pretty cool; we are all so passionate about Directory-as-a-Service®. But it’s nice when other people think so, too! For the second time in as many months, JumpCloud has been named a Cool Company by CRN magazine. First we were one of the Cool Security Startups of 2013, and now we were just named one of the Cool Cloud Security Companies of 2014. It’s nice to hear people recognize our pioneering spirit with the first cloud-based directory service.

Most of us have come to look forward to the lists produced at the end and beginning of each year (bestmost innovative, coolest, and others!) but what made this list particularly special for us was the fact that senior editor Rob Westervelt chose JumpCloud. Rob has been covering the security space for a long time now and is very well respected in the industry. It is gratifying to see someone like him recognize all of the hard work. It’s also nice for our team to know that the innovative work that they are doing in cloud-based identity and access management isn’t going unrecognized.

While everyone here at JumpCloud gets a paycheck, our team takes more pride in our work than just having a job. This kind of recognition is the kind of payoff that shows us we don’t work in a vacuum and that what we are building is important and worthwhile. Needless to say, it put a bigger bounce in everyone’s step.

JumpCloud: A Cool Cloud Security Company in Great Company

We were also honored to be mentioned in the same company as some of the other great firms on the list. I am sure we will see many of them out at RSA in a few weeks. Like your mom used to tell you: you’re judged by the company you keep. We are proud to be in such great company. And, to be cool. 🙂
