With many of the leading minds in IT descending upon Silicon Valley for the O’Reilly Velocity conference this coming week, JumpCloud and Dyn have partnered to host an exclusive dinner on the State of DevOps Tuesday night, June 24. Similar to our dinner in Boston earlier this year, we are bringing together some of the top thought leaders in DevOps, some of our customers, and top tier press and analysts to have a lively conversation on industry trends today and in the future.

We are planning on digging deep into three main DevOps-focused topics:

  • The Why and What of DevOps? – Who is DevOps for and why should they be leveraging it, and what exactly constitutes a DevOps organization?
  • What will the impact of DevOps be 10 years from now? – How will it cross the chasm to the mainstream and what will be the business impact 10 years from now? How will life in IT be different?
  • How do we get there? – Now that we’ve talked about what DevOps is and what it could be, how do we shape the process of getting there? This is where the rubber meets the road, and we’ll talk about what it means to execute on the aspiration.

Our panel of experts includes Cory von Wallenstein, Gene Kim, Jez Humble, John Willis, and, of course, our own CEO, Rajat Bhargava, to name just a few of the thought leaders participating in the event. On the media and analyst side, Alan Shimel from will be in good company with researchers and reporters from the InfoWorld, Wall Street Journal, eWEEK, and 451 Research — to name just a few of the folks there.

We are obviously super excited about the dinner and looking forward to a great conversation. Check back in after the event for a wrap-up post, where we will cover some key takeaways from the discussion. We are hoping that we’ll walk away with some great insights from the group that can help us build one of the core technologies involved in DevOps – cloud directory services. While the discussion will be broader than just Directory-as-a-Service®, we think that the points that these industry experts will make will be applicable to our Identity-as-a-Service platform as well as other major DevOps technologies.

Thanks again to our partner Dyn for joining us on this endeavor!
