Use JumpCloud for Network Authentication and Authorization with RADIUS Reply Attributes!

Improved MFA Workflows

Recently, we improved the security and consistency of the MFA experience on the SSO login page. We have also introduced MFA enrollment periods to allow you more flexibility in how you roll out MFA to your users.

We are continuing to improve the entire experience for users with JumpCloud’s multi-factor authentication features. In the coming months, we will be simplifying how MFA is handled during password resets for MFA-enabled users. In the past, users who were resetting passwords were not required to insert their one-time password token (OTP) when changing their password. Further, they would be required to reset their MFA tokens, adding to the burden of a password reset. After the upcoming release, users will instead be challenged for MFA but allowed to retain their current MFA tokens during reset.

With this change in behavior, we are happy to make the password reset process faster and easier, while continuing to provide strong security.

User Attribute Editing and Importation Updates

Recently, we deployed the infrastructure to support a wide array of new user attributes. This enabled a user account to maintain deeper data, which can be controlled and manipulated through our REST API, allowing admins to ensure that user information was present in the user’s JumpCloud LDAP record.

Coming soon, administrators will be able to view and edit all 25+ new attributes on users directly within the admin console, simplifying quick edits on user records and providing the ability to directly see this information within the JumpCloud admin console.

In addition, we are also updating our G Suite™ and Office 365™ Directory Sync features to support the importation of these attributes onto user records.
