We’re kicking off the week in good fashion here in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. One day after the Camp DevOps event tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th, we’re sponsoring over at the Atlas Institute on the University of Colorado’s campus, we’re participating in the annual Glue Conference of which Camp DevOps is working in conjunction with.
Glue Conference 2014 is a two day event taking place right next door to Boulder at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, CO (about 15 minutes away from us here in Boulder). Glue Conference is intentionally focused on technology trends and, most importantly, the developers because developers are building the cloud and mobile applications, utilizing and building APIs, and working with big data everyday. As said on the GlueCon website, the conference covers topics like NoSQL, API’s, Node.js, HTML5, Backend-as-a-Service, cloud management and security, cloud storage, Hadoop, DevOps, Mobile App development, cloud platforms, and many, many others.
As a part of this world class speaker outfit, JumpCloud’s co-founder and CTO, Topher Marie, will be hosting a session on how DevOps is influencing server management thus demanding orchestration and automation of repetitive tasks in production. Topher will also talk about the background of how we built our Directory-as-a-Service® platform and the approaches that we have taken to centralized user management, hosted LDAP, True Single Sign-on™, multi-factor authentication, and, of course, device and systems management. Have to hand it to Eric Norlin and the GlueCon organizers for setting up such a dynamic event! Register here for GlueCon (you get into Camp DevOps for free) and we are looking forward to seeing you all there!
