JumpCloud’s MSP partners are at the forefront of providing essential IT services to small and medium-sized businesses globally. In our interview series, we delve into conversations with these partners, exploring the dynamics of their MSPs and how JumpCloud plays a pivotal role in their operations.
In today’s feature, we had the opportunity to speak with Dustin Leggans from OSA Technology Partners. Join us as we uncover insights into their MSP journey and the impact of JumpCloud’s solutions.
About Dustin
Dustin Leggans founded OSA Technology Partners in 2016. His background spreads over 25 years of C-level technical experience working with small business, non-profit and Fortune 100 organizations.
OSA Technology Partners started as a boutique technology consulting company but is now a comprehensive software engineering and IT managed services business with a focus on the growth of cyber security, cloud technologies, and providing efficiency guidance for small businesses.
Here are my 5 key takeaways:
It all started with a Google search for Single Sign On for MSPs
OSA Technology were sure there must be a better solution for SSO for MSPs among the enterprise players that don’t address their needs from a product or contract perspective. They did what we all would do, headed to Google and found JumpCloud. (Other search engines are available). The rest, as they say, is history.
All Staff are trained on JumpCloud
Every team member at OSA goes through the JumpCloud training including interns and apprentices. This gives the whole team an understanding of the platform and helps keep OSA and their clients secure.
BYOD is a challenge to be embraced
BYOD, or Bring Your Own Device, can send shudders down the spine of some MSPs, not OSA. Dustin explained that they welcome the challenge, it’s not going away so MSPs need to ensure that their clients are secure on all the devices they use, this can be corporate or BYOD.
SMEs are waking up to the security challenges
The word is getting out, through news coverage of cyber attacks, Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are becoming more aware of the security challenges and are actively seeking help from MSPs.
Don’t be too quick to settle on a solution
Dustin wrapped up our chat with a tip for other MSPs and that was not to be too quick to settle on a solution. Do the homework, test the solution, get all the staff trained and then have the confidence to roll out to your clients. Doing it right in the first place will pay dividends later.
Thanks to Dustin for taking the time to chat. If you would like to contact him to discuss further he is available on LinkedIn and the OSA Technology website.
