You can search or filter for a specific device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Actions<\/strong> dropdown menu, and select <strong>Run Command<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A list of existing commands associated with that device will be displayed. You can search for a command, or create a new one.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To create a new one, click <strong>New Command<\/strong>, then give it a <strong>Name<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Depending on the OS, some of the fields will be slightly different. For example, if it\u2019s a Windows device, the option to run Windows Powershell will be available to select. For Mac and Linux, you\u2019ll be required to select a user to run the command on the device under the <strong>Run as<\/strong> dropdown menu.\u00a0See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-commands\">Get Started: Commands<\/a> to learn more.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Enter your <strong>Command<\/strong>, then under <strong>Timeout after<\/strong>, enter an amount of time in seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>Time to Live (TTL) Settings<\/strong>, you can either <strong>Use Smart Defaults<\/strong> and select an amount of time from the dropdown menu, or <strong>Set Custom Duration<\/strong> and choose your own time to live.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then click <strong>Save And Run Command<\/strong>. This will save the command to the organization that the device is associated with and run the command on that device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> You can re-use this command but it won\u2019t be bound to any devices since it\u2019s being run once, manually.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to see or cancel the command, from the org\u2019s admin portal, click <strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Commands<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Queued<\/strong> for all commands being run on the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To see the status of Commands ran on specific devices:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>From the MTP, click the <strong>Devices<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An aggregate list of all your devices will be displayed. Click the dropdown arrow next to the device Status column to expand the row. The row will show a <strong>Commands<\/strong> card with a count of how many commands have been run on the device. Along with the status of each command (Fail\/Success).
