Automatically provision, update and deprovision users and groups in PrinterLogic SaaS from JumpCloud using the Identity Management (SCIM) integration. Leverage this integration to centralize user lifecycle, user identity, and group management in JumpCloud for PrinterLogic SaaS. Save time and avoid mistakes, as well as potential security risks, related to manually creating users and groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read this article to learn how to configure the PrinterLogic SaaS integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>JumpCloud administrator account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud SSO Package or higher or SSO \u00e0 la carte option<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PrinterLogic SaaS administrator account and admin rights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your PrinterLogic SaaS subdomain name<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>SSO for PrinterLogic SaaS must be enabled prior to creating an Identity Management integration <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For provisioning, the use of SCIM is assumed. If you plan to use SCIM, do not check&nbsp;<strong>JIT<\/strong>. If you are unable or choose to not use SCIM, check&nbsp;<strong>JIT<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there is an existing PrinterLogic SaaS IdP with another provider, ensure you have the correct license to install concurrent IdPs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to update your token, you must&nbsp;<a href=\"#to-deactivate-the-idm-integration\">deactivate the IdM integration<\/a>, update the token, and then reactivate the IdM integration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups are supported<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"attribute-considerations\"><strong>Attribute Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A default set of attributes are managed for users. See the&nbsp;<a href=\"#attribute-mappings\">Attribute Mappings<\/a>&nbsp;section for more details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The following attributes aren&#8217;t supported by Jumpcloud and they will have the default values set by PrinterLogic SaaS:\n<ul>\n<li>manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>authPin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>authPinUser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>badgeId<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\"><strong>Creating a new JumpCloud Application Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>USER AUTHENTICATION\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>+&nbsp;Add New Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the name of the application in the <strong>Search <\/strong>field and select it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Display Label<\/strong>, type your name for the application. Optionally, you can enter a <strong>Description<\/strong>, adjust the User Portal Image and choose to hide or <strong>Show in User Portal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If this is a Bookmark Application, enter your sign-in URL in the <strong>Bookmark URL<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Optionally, expand <strong>Advanced Settings<\/strong> to specify a value for the<strong> SSO IdP URL<\/strong>. If no value is entered, it will default to <kbd>https:\/\/sso.jumpcloud.com\/saml2\/&lt;applicationname&gt;<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Warning:<\/strong> \n<p>The <strong>SSO IdP URL<\/strong> is not editable after the application is created. You will have to delete and recreate the connector if you need to edit this field at a later time.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click <strong>Save Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If successful, click:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Configure Application<\/strong> and go to the next section <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Close<\/strong> to configure your new application at a later time <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuring the SSO Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure PrinterLogic SaaS<\/strong> <strong>1<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the PrinterLogic SAAS admin console.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the top right menu, go to&nbsp;<strong>Tools&nbsp;<\/strong>&gt;<strong>&nbsp;Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>&gt;&nbsp;<strong>General<\/strong> &gt;&nbsp;<strong>Identity Provider Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>IdP<\/strong> and click&nbsp;<strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>IdP Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>modal<strong>:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>IdP Template<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; select&nbsp;<strong>Custom&nbsp;<\/strong>from the dropdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Authentication Protocol<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; select&nbsp;<strong>SAML 2<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provisioning&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;\n<ul>\n<li>If using SCIM provisioning, leave&nbsp;<strong>JIT<\/strong>&nbsp;unchecked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If not using SCIM, check&nbsp;<strong>JIT<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Name&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; enter <kbd>JumpCloud<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under the&nbsp;<strong>Service Provider Information&nbsp;<\/strong>section, copy the&nbsp;<strong>IdP Identifier&nbsp;<\/strong>at the bottom of the page. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave this page open and go to the next section.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud<\/strong> <strong>1<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>SSO&nbsp;<\/strong>tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>IdP Entity field<\/strong>, enter&nbsp;<kbd>https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/&lt;your_idp_id&gt;<\/kbd>,&nbsp;replacing&nbsp;<strong>&lt;your_idp_id&gt;<\/strong>&nbsp;with the&nbsp;<strong>IdP Identifier<\/strong>&nbsp;copied above.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace any other instances of YOUR_SUBDOMAIN and YOUR_IDP with your PrinterLogic SaaS values.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure PrinterLogic SaaS<\/strong> <strong>2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>In&nbsp;<strong>Issuer URL<\/strong>, enter&nbsp;<strong>https:\/\/jumpcloud.com<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In&nbsp;<strong>Issuer ID,&nbsp;<\/strong>paste the<strong>&nbsp;IdP Identifier.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Copy the following values from the PrinterLogic&nbsp;<strong>IdP Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;and paste them into the corresponding fields in the JumpCloud<strong>&nbsp;SSO&nbsp;<\/strong>tab<strong>:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Identifier (Entity Id)&nbsp;<\/strong>to<strong>&nbsp;SP Entity ID.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reply Url (ACS)&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>ACS URL field.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Relay State&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>Default RelayState.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the following information:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Login URL<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; replace the \u201cYOUR_SUBDOMAIN\u201d portion of the URL with your instance sub domain, e.g.,&nbsp;<kbd>https:\/\/jumpcloud.printercloud.com<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the&nbsp;<strong>Declare Redirect Endpoint<\/strong>&nbsp;box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IDP URL<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; enter your instance sub domain in the text field, e.g.,&nbsp;<kbd>https:\/\/sso.&lt;your_site&gt;.com\/saml2\/printerlogicsaas<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the&nbsp;<strong>IdP URL<\/strong>&nbsp;you entered above (your instance sub domain).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Download the certificate<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Find&nbsp;your application in the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Applications<\/strong>&nbsp;list and click anywhere in the row to reopen its configuration window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>SSO <\/strong>tab and click <strong>IDP Certificate Valid &gt; Download certificate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>The certificate.pem will download to your local <strong>Downloads<\/strong> folder.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure PrinterLogic SaaS<\/strong> <strong>3<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Paste the&nbsp;<strong>IdP URL&nbsp;<\/strong>into the<strong>&nbsp;SSO URL&nbsp;<\/strong>field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paste the certificate into the&nbsp;<strong>X-509 Certificate<\/strong>&nbsp;field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check<strong>&nbsp;Enable for End User Login<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Enable for Admin Login<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Apply&nbsp;<\/strong>and then click<strong>&nbsp;Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Using JIT Provisioning<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional attributes are required to use JIT provisioning. JIT required attributes are prepopulated and are on by default to enable JIT provisioning. You can\u2019t edit the JIT required service provider attributes. You can customize the JumpCloud attribute name and the constant value for JIT required attributes. Toggle off the attributes to opt out of sending the attributes in the SAML assertion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To complete the provisioning process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Authorize a user\u2019s access to the application in JumpCloud. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have the user log in to the application using SSO. The SAML assertion passes from JumpCloud to the service provider, and gives the service provider the information it needs to create the user account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"authorizing-user-sso-access\"><strong>Authorizing User SSO Access<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users are implicitly denied access to applications. After you connect an application to JumpCloud, you need to authorize user access to that application. You can authorize user access from the <strong>Application Configuration<\/strong> panel or from the <strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong> panel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To authorize user access from the Application Configuration panel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>USER AUTHENTICATION &gt; SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>, then select the application to which you want to authorize user access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>User Groups<\/strong> tab. If you need to create a new group of users, see <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-user-groups\">Get Started: User Groups<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the check box next to the group of users you want to give access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>save<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn how to authorize user access from the&nbsp;<strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong>&nbsp;panel, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/authorize-users-to-an-sso-application#user-groups-configuration-panel\">Authorize Users to an SSO Application<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"validating-sso-authentication-workflows\"><strong>Validating SSO user authentication workflow(s)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-idp-initiated-user-workflow\"><strong>IdP-initiated<\/strong> <strong>user workflow<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/userconsole#\/\">JumpCloud User Console<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Applications<\/strong> and click an application tile to launch it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud asserts the user&#8217;s identity to the SP and is authenticated without the user having to log in to the application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sp-initiated-user-workflow\"><strong>SP-initiated<\/strong> <strong>user workflow<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Go\u00a0to the SP application login &#8211; generally, there is either a special link or an adaptive username field that detects the user is authenticated through SSO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>This varies by SP.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Login redirects the user to JumpCloud where the user enters their JumpCloud credentials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the user is logged in successfully, they are redirected\u00a0back to the SP and automatically logged in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuring the Identity Management Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure PrinterLogics SaaS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the PrinterLogic SAAS admin console.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the top right menu, go to&nbsp;<strong>Tools &gt; Settings &gt; General<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Identity Provider Settings<\/strong>, select&nbsp;<strong>IdP<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the existing SSO Connector and click&nbsp;<strong>Modify<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down to the bottom and copy the SCIM Tenant address to Notepad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Cancel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Identity Provider Settings<\/strong>, select&nbsp;<strong>SCIM<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the your IdP connector from the dropdown and click <strong>Generate SCIM Token<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the token.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Warning:<\/strong> \n<p>The Client ID and Secret (token) may only be shown once. Copy them to a secure location, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-jumpcloud-password-manager\">JumpCloud Password Manager<\/a>, for future reference.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Identity Management&nbsp;<\/strong>tab and&nbsp;select&nbsp;<strong>Enable management of User Groups and Group Membership in this application<\/strong>&nbsp;if you want to provision, manage, and sync groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Configure.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;re presented with two fields:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Base URL&nbsp;<\/strong>field, paste the SCIM Tenant address copied from the previous section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Token Key<\/strong> field, paste the SCIM token copied from the previous section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Test Connection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Activate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"attribute-mappings\"><strong>Attribute Mappings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following table lists attributes that JumpCloud sends to the application.
