A VPN connection establishes a secure connection between you and the internet and disguises your IP address. This policy works for devices running Android 5.1 and later.<br><br><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>JumpCloud\u2019s Android &nbsp;EMM is configured for your organization. See&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.jumpcloud.com\/s\/article\/Set-Up-Android-EMM\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Set Up Android EMM<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your Android devices are enrolled in EMM.\u00a0See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.my.site.com\/support\/s\/article\/Add-and-Manage-Android-Devices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Add and Manage Android Devices\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.my.site.com\/support\/s\/article\/Users-Enroll-Your-Personal-Android-Device\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Users: Enroll Your Personal Android Device<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A VPN client must be assigned to the end users&#8217; devices where you want to apply this policy via <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/software-management-android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Software Management<\/a> in order for the policy to be enforced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To create an Android VPN policy<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; Policy Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>All<\/strong>&nbsp;tab, click (<strong>+<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the New Policy panel, select the&nbsp;<strong>Android<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the VPN Restrictions policy from the list, then click&nbsp;<strong>configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the New Policy panel, optionally enter a new name for the policy, or keep the default. Policy names must be unique.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For&nbsp;<strong>Policy Notes<\/strong>, enter details like when you created the policy, where you tested it, and where you deployed it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>, select a VPN client to apply VPN policies to from the <strong>VPN Application<\/strong> drop-down. <strong>Note<\/strong>: The VPN Application drop-down is populated with VPN apps that have been configured in <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/software-management-android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Software Management<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Disable end user modification<\/strong>\u00a0to prevent users from modifying the VPN configuration. Select one or more device groups where you will apply this policy. For device groups with multiple OS member types, the policy is applied only to the supported OS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Select the&nbsp;<strong>Devices<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.
