After you connect JumpCloud with 15Five, you can provision, update, and deprovision users in 15Five through your JumpCloud Administrator Portal.&nbsp;Leverage this integration for centralized user lifecycle management and get immediate attribute management of users bound to integrated applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read this article to learn how to configure the 15Five integration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A JumpCloud Administrator account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud SSO Package or higher or SSO \u00e0 la carte option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A 15Five Administrator account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15Five&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.15five.com\/pricing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Plus Plan<\/a>. If using SSO, an SSO add-on is required. Contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:support@15Five.com\">15Five support<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your 15Five subdomain name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Considerations<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>SAML SSO is recommended, but not required. \n<ul>\n<li>To enable SSO, but require users to log in through 15Five and not the JumpCloud User Portal, deselect <strong>Show in User Portal<\/strong> in the <strong>General Info<\/strong> tab of the application window. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15Five supports password synchronization. \n<ul>\n<li>If SSO is enabled, password changes don\u2019t occur for the user in 15Five if the password is set from JumpCloud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If SSO isn\u2019t enabled in 15Five, then the user will receive an email with a link to reset their password in 15Five.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you delete an integrated 15Five application from your Applications list, the application is removed from JumpCloud, but any previously bound users remain active in 15Five. These users can log in to 15Five with the password they used before you enabled SSO with 15Five in JumpCloud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you deactivate Identity Management on your 15Five application and SSO is activated, previously bound users remain active in 15Five and can authenticate using SSO. No further updates are made to user accounts via the Identity Management integration.\n<ul>\n<li>Users created via SCIM integration should also be deleted via SCIM integration. Otherwise, you need to disable the user before you can delete &nbsp;them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users deactivated via the SCIM integration can only be deleted via the SCIM integration after you reactivate them and then delete them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to update your token, you must&nbsp;<a href=\"#to-deactivate-the-idm-integration\">deactivate the IdM integration<\/a>, update the token, and then reactivate the IdM integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account takeovers are supported.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New users provisioned from JumpCloud receive an email invitation from 15Five.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users are moved to the inactive state when they\u2019re deprovisioned.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a user\u2019s password expires in JumpCloud, their account becomes suspended and they are deactivated in all applications that have Identity Management configured and, are associated to them. Once the user\u2019s password is updated, the account and previously associated applications are reactivated.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups are supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"attribute-considerations\"><strong>Attribute Considerations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A default set of attributes are managed for users. See the <a href=\"#attribute-mappings\">Attribute Mappings<\/a> section for more details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <kbd>username <\/kbd>and <kbd>email <\/kbd>should match.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\"><strong>Creating a new JumpCloud Application Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>USER AUTHENTICATION\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>+&nbsp;Add New Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the name of the application in the <strong>Search <\/strong>field and select it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Display Label<\/strong>, type your name for the application. Optionally, you can enter a <strong>Description<\/strong>, adjust the User Portal Image and choose to hide or <strong>Show in User Portal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If this is a Bookmark Application, enter your sign-in URL in the <strong>Bookmark URL<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Optionally, expand <strong>Advanced Settings<\/strong> to specify a value for the<strong> SSO IdP URL<\/strong>. If no value is entered, it will default to <kbd>https:\/\/sso.jumpcloud.com\/saml2\/&lt;applicationname&gt;<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Warning:<\/strong> \n<p>The <strong>SSO IdP URL<\/strong> is not editable after the application is created. You will have to delete and recreate the connector if you need to edit this field at a later time.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click <strong>Save Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If successful, click:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Configure Application<\/strong> and go to the next section <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Close<\/strong> to configure your new application at a later time <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuring the SSO Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"to-configure-jumpcloud\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>SSO<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>IdP Entity ID<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>ACS URL<\/strong>&nbsp;fields, replace YOURDOMAIN with your 15Five subdomain name.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Copy the metadata URL<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Find&nbsp;your application in the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Applications<\/strong>&nbsp;list and click anywhere in the row to reopen its configuration window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>SSO <\/strong>tab and click <strong>Copy Metadata URL<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The URL will be copied to your clipboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure 15Five<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/my.15five.com\/saml2\/config\/start\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the \u2019SAML Single Sign-On\u2019 page<\/a>&nbsp;in 15Five. If you don\u2019t have access to that page, contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:support@15Five.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">15Five Support<\/a> and they will add it for you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set your company&#8217;s subdomain\u2014typically this will be your company name or some form of it. You can choose anything they want as long as it&nbsp;<strong>does not&nbsp;<\/strong>contain characters, capital letters, or spaces. The subdomain name needs to also be a unique name\u2014no other company can be using the same domain. \n<ul>\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be taken to the next page to enter the Metadata from your IdP and set your SSO contact. \n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Contact email<\/strong> should be the email of the IT point of contact that 15Five Support or others in your company should reach out to about SSO-related questions or issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the box labeled <strong>Automatically update metadata<\/strong> if you\u2019d like to include the link to where 15Five can check your metadata. Doing so will allow 15Five to automatically update your metadata if changes are made, rather than updating the metadata manually. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, you will set your SAML attributes and settings.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SAML Single Sign-On Enabled:<\/strong>&nbsp;Should be checked to enable SSO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Allow Password Sign In<\/strong>: Can be checked if you want their users to have the ability to log in using their email and password, rather than just through SSO. This can be turned on during testing and turned off after if preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Allow Identity Provider Initiated Login<\/strong>: A setting that allows employees to log in directly from the app dashboard when they log in via your company\u2019s IdP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Allow Auto Login<\/strong>: Indicates that the employee will be auto-logged in using their IdP, instead of having to re-authenticate before logging in. This option only works if the \u2019Allow Password Sign-In\u2019 option is disabled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Allow Creation of New Users (JIT Provisioning)<\/strong>: Automatically creates a new, paid account in 15Five if an employee who has access to 15Five in your IdP attempts to log into 15Five.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Warning:<\/strong> \n<p>This option is not recommended when Name ID is set to \u2018Email\u2019 or if you are using another integration like SCIM or an HRIS. Using this with either option can cause duplicate accounts and issues with one integration overriding the other.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Require Reviewer Selection<\/strong>: Requires an employee to choose their reviewer upon signing in for the first time. Such a choice will only be presented if reviewer information has not been passed in the SAML response. Most customers will want this off.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ensure assertions are signed<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Ensure messages are signed<\/strong>: Tell 15Five what to expect from your IdP. You must have at least one of the two checked in order to proceed, but you are able to turn one setting off depending on your setup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The next four lines show the Service Provider User Sign In URL, IdP Entity ID, etc. These fields are auto-populated by pulling from the XML metadata you entered on the previous screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bottom half of the page is where you set your attributes. The best way to know what should go in here is to check your IdP\u2019s attribute mappings. If you need some guidance, the blue link labeled <strong>Attributes Help<\/strong> may be helpful. The <strong>Name ID Contents<\/strong> and <strong>Email attribute name<\/strong> are the ones that are necessary to set up SSO, but there are a few others that you may want to sync.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If \u2018Name ID Contents\u201c is set to \u2019Not Used\u2019, then the \u2018Employee ID attribute name&#8217; must be filled out. Otherwise, there will be issues with employees logging in.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like the employee\u2019s reviewer to sync to 15Five, and you do not use another integration with 15Five like SCIM or another HRIS, then you would put the reviewer information under the \u2018Reviewer Attributes\u2019 section. Make sure to click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"authorizing-user-sso-access\"><strong>Authorizing User SSO Access<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users are implicitly denied access to applications. After you connect an application to JumpCloud, you need to authorize user access to that application. You can authorize user access from the <strong>Application Configuration<\/strong> panel or from the <strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong> panel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To authorize user access from the Application Configuration panel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>USER AUTHENTICATION &gt; SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>, then select the application to which you want to authorize user access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>User Groups<\/strong> tab. If you need to create a new group of users, see <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-user-groups\">Get Started: User Groups<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the check box next to the group of users you want to give access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>save<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn how to authorize user access from the&nbsp;<strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong>&nbsp;panel, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/authorize-users-to-an-sso-application#user-groups-configuration-panel\">Authorize Users to an SSO Application<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"validating-sso-authentication-workflows\"><strong>Validating SSO user authentication workflow(s)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-idp-initiated-user-workflow\"><strong>IdP-initiated<\/strong> <strong>user workflow<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/userconsole#\/\">JumpCloud User Console<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Applications<\/strong> and click an application tile to launch it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud asserts the user&#8217;s identity to the SP and is authenticated without the user having to log in to the application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sp-initiated-user-workflow\"><strong>SP-initiated<\/strong> <strong>user workflow<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Go\u00a0to the SP application login &#8211; generally, there is either a special link or an adaptive username field that detects the user is authenticated through SSO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>This varies by SP.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Login redirects the user to JumpCloud where the user enters their JumpCloud credentials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the user is logged in successfully, they are redirected\u00a0back to the SP and automatically logged in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuring the Identity Management Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure 15Five<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to 15Five with your administrator account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the left menu, click&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Features<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Integrations<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Manage<\/strong>, and enable the&nbsp;<strong>SCIM 2.0<\/strong>&nbsp;option, then click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>If you don\u2019t see the SCIM 2.0 integration, contact <a href=\"mailto:support@15Five.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">15Five\u2019s support team<\/a> and request they activate it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate your access token.\n<ul>\n<li>The SCIM 2.0 base URL value will be copy\/pasted into theBase URL field in JumpCloud&#8217;s Identity Management form later.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Identity Management<\/strong>&nbsp;tab and click <strong>Configure<\/strong> in the <strong>Configuration Settings<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;re presented with two fields:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Base URL<\/strong>: Paste in the SCIM 2.0 base URL you copied when you enabled SCIM 2.0 with JumpCloud in 15Five, e.g.,&nbsp;<kbd>https:\/\/my.15five.com\/scim\/v2<\/kbd><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Token<\/strong> <strong>Key<\/strong>: Paste the access token generated in the previous section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Activate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You receive a confirmation that the Identity Management integration has been successfully verified and a Public Certificate is created. You can download the certificate from here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the application is saved, it appears in the SSO Applications list. You can now connect users to the application in JumpCloud to provision them in 15Five.
