Disable Wayland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

JumpCloud Remote Assist does not currently support The Wayland Display Server, which replaces the X Window System (also known as X11). Many newer Linux distributions use Wayland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To disable Wayland on your Linux device<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open your distribution\u2019s Wayland configuration file from one of the following locations:\n
      \n
    1. sudo nano \/etc\/gdm3\/custom.conf<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. sudo nano \/etc\/gdm\/custom.conf<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Edit the sudo\/root privileges using your preferred editor.\n

      1. Delete the # in the line #WaylandEnable=false<\/code> to change it to WaylandEnable=false<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Save your edits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
