This integration lets you manage your organization\u2019s user identities in Entra ID, and easily connect users to all of the IT resources they need through JumpCloud. After you connect Entra ID with JumpCloud through our SCIM server, depending on the integration settings you choose, users are seamlessly created, updated, and deleted in JumpCloud according to the actions you take on users in Entra ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Your organization can now also enable RADIUS access with user&#8217;s Entra ID credentials. Click&nbsp;<strong>Create<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, you can see your application dashboard. In the left navigation menu, click on&nbsp;<strong>Single sign-on<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>JumpCloud doesn\u2019t have SAML access, so select from the options&nbsp;<strong>Disabled<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Password-based<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>If you select the Password-based option, the&nbsp;<strong>Sign-on URL<\/strong>&nbsp;needs to be provided. Copy\/Paste the JumpCloud user console URL link into the designated field and click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the left navigation menu, click&nbsp;<strong>Provisioning<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under the&nbsp;<strong>Provisioning Mode<\/strong>&nbsp;dropdown menu, select&nbsp;<strong>Automatic<\/strong>. This will power the real-time sync using the SCIM server.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Admin Credentials<\/strong>, there are two fields required to connect the real-time JumpCloud import\u2019s API and synchronize your user data.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tenant URL<\/strong>: For JumpCloud, this is a SCIM-based URL:&nbsp;<kbd>https:\/\/api.jumpcloud.com\/scim\/v2\/?aadOptscim062020<\/kbd><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Secret Token<\/strong>: A JumpCloud API key should be used to authorize this integration. The API key in JumpCloud is associated with an admin account. Use an admin account that has a role of Admin with Billing, Administrator, or Manager that will be a long lived admin account for your organization. See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/jumpcloud-apis#generating-a-new-api-key\">Generating a New API Key<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Test Connection<\/strong>. You will receive a notification that the authorization was successful. Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Mappings<\/strong>, click on&nbsp;<strong><strong>Provision Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Active Directory) Groups<\/strong><\/strong>. The default&nbsp;option will be enabled to&nbsp;<strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>JumpCloud doesn\u2019t currently support the real-time import of Groups just yet, so this option needs to be toggled to&nbsp;<strong>No<\/strong>, then click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>. You will be prompted to confirm you want to save your changes, click&nbsp;<strong>Yes<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"13\">\n<li>Now, go back to the&nbsp;<strong>Provisioning<\/strong>&nbsp;dashboard &gt;&nbsp;<strong>Mappings<\/strong>&nbsp;section and click on the next option,&nbsp;<strong>Provision Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Active Directory) Users<\/strong>. Leave this option enabled to&nbsp;<strong>Yes<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Target Object Actions<\/strong>, there are three available capabilities;&nbsp;<strong>Create<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Update<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Delete<\/strong>. You can choose which options you\u2019d like.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Important:<\/strong> \n<p>For&nbsp;<strong>Attribute Mappings<\/strong>, not all of the Entra ID attributes are available or supported within JumpCloud.&nbsp;Any unsupported attributes that are left enabled in Entra ID can cause the provisioning to fail.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"15\">\n<li>Click on an attribute to edit it. The attribute mapped to&nbsp;<strong>userName<\/strong>&nbsp;needs to be adjusted to satisfy JumpCloud\u2019s attribute validation. We suggest&nbsp;<strong>userPrincipalName<\/strong>, the default mapping, be edited to adjust the source attribute to&nbsp;<strong>mailNickname<\/strong>, this is typically the&nbsp;<strong>first.lastname<\/strong>. Click&nbsp;<strong>Ok<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The attribute,&nbsp;<strong>mail<\/strong>&nbsp;needs to be edited to adjust the source attribute to&nbsp;<strong>userPrincipalName<\/strong>. The primary email in JumpCloud is the work email which serves as the userPrincipalName in Entra.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From here, you can delete any attributes that you don\u2019t want mapped. Take a look at the Attribute Mappings table below to see which attributes JumpCloud sends to Entra because not all attributes are supported.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the Attribute Mappings are set, click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>. You will be prompted to confirm you want to save your changes, click&nbsp;<strong>Yes<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, go back to the&nbsp;<strong>Provisioning<\/strong>&nbsp;dashboard &gt;&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;section. There are options to&nbsp;<strong>Send email notifications if failures occur<\/strong>, in addition to&nbsp;<strong>Scope<\/strong>, which allows you to choose if you want to&nbsp;<strong>Sync all users and groups or only assigned users and groups<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave the&nbsp;<strong>Provisioning Status<\/strong>&nbsp;toggled&nbsp;<strong>On<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If any changes were made, click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go back to the main dashboard &gt; left navigation menu, click on&nbsp;<strong>Users and groups<\/strong>&nbsp;to assign users to the app.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add user\/group<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Users<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>None Selected<\/strong>&nbsp;to select Users to add. Search for the users you want to add and click&nbsp;<strong>Select<\/strong>, then&nbsp;<strong>Assign<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>It takes ~40 minutes for users to be provisioned to JumpCloud. If you need to expedite this process, there is an option to&nbsp;<strong>Provision on demand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-4eeaf648-45f2-468a-8c7f-85a56265c515\">\n<li>From the&nbsp;<strong>Provisioning<\/strong>&nbsp;dashboard, click&nbsp;<strong>Provision on demand<\/strong>, search for the user that needs to be added, select them and click&nbsp;<strong>Provision<\/strong>. This will push the new user to JumpCloud immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Notes<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>The user is added in a Password Pending status. Entra ID doesn\u2019t pass the user\u2019s password to JumpCloud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If changes are made to this user within JumpCloud, it won\u2019t be reflected in Entra ID through this integration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>We recommend using a name like <strong>Real-time JumpCloud Import<\/strong>, or something similar.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-jumpcloud-supported-scim-attribute-mappings\"><strong>JumpCloud Supported SCIM Attribute Mappings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following table lists attributes that the JumpCloud SCIM client will accept from this integration.
