These can be accessed, and applied to any of your tenant organizations, instead of manually configuring commands for each one.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Creating Command Templates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To create command templates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to your MTP:&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Launch<\/strong>&nbsp;an Organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Commands<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click (\u00a0<strong>+<\/strong>\u00a0), then choose\u00a0<strong>Command<\/strong>\u00a0which allows you to manually create a new command. For help creating a new command manually, see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-commands\">Get Started: Commands<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After your fields are filled out, click\u00a0<strong>save and create template<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>This option is only available to users with the\u00a0<strong>MSP Admin with Billing<\/strong>\u00a0role permissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<ul>\n<li>You can filter the list of templates by clicking&nbsp;<strong>filter by&nbsp;<\/strong>and selecting&nbsp;<strong>Default Templates<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Custom Templates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud manages the set of&nbsp;<strong>Default Templates<\/strong>&nbsp;available for&nbsp;use, whereas&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>Custom Templates<\/strong>&nbsp;are the ones you&#8217;ve created and saved.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>This saves a local copy of the command to the organization, while also storing it as a template that can be accessed and applied to any of your tenant organizations. Now when you go to create a command from a template, your new template will be saved as an option for you to choose from.\n<ul>\n<li>Uploaded files won&#8217;t be stored in templates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Using Command Templates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To use command templates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to your MTP:&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Launch<\/strong>&nbsp;an Organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Commands<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the&nbsp;<strong>Commands<\/strong>&nbsp;page, click&nbsp;(&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong>&nbsp;) and choose&nbsp;<strong>Command from Template<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the\u00a0<strong>Configure New Command from Template<\/strong>\u00a0window:\n<ul>\n<li>Select the&nbsp;OS<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>tab to view the existing command templates for that OS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the template you want to use as a basis for your new command.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>New Command<\/strong>&nbsp;window, enter a unique name for the new command to differentiate it from other commands.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For&nbsp;<strong>Type<\/strong>, select&nbsp;<strong>Linux<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Windows<\/strong>, or&nbsp;<strong>Mac<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make other necessary changes to the settings. For instructions on changing each field, see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-commands\">Get Started: Commands<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Device Groups<\/strong>&nbsp;tab to select the device groups where this command will execute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the\u00a0<strong>Devices<\/strong>\u00a0tab to select the devices where this command will execute. \n<ul>\n<li><strong>Optional<\/strong>:\u00a0Select the\u00a0<strong>Command Runners<\/strong>\u00a0tab to select a user as a Command Runner with access to run the command. Admins can run commands on all devices by default.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>save<\/strong>\u00a0to create a new command.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Optional<\/strong>: Click\u00a0<strong>save and create template<\/strong>\u00a0if you made any edits and want another template created.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To run your newly created\u00a0command, locate it on the\u00a0<strong>Commands<\/strong>\u00a0page and click\u00a0<strong>Run Now<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Managing Command Templates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>From your managed organization admin portal, go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Commands<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Manage Command Templates<\/strong>.
