These policies are only for Windows desktop machines.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Considerations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The JumpCloud agent can control:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Automatic installation of minor updates that&nbsp;<strong><em>do not require a reboot<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatic installation of updates during an&nbsp;automatic maintenance window&nbsp;(if this option is chosen).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The JumpCloud agent cannot control:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Which updates are being pushed outside of the checkboxes, making the distinction between &#8220;minor&#8221; and &#8220;standard&#8221; Microsoft updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create a Configure Windows Updates policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To create a Configure Windows Updates policy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal:&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt;<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Policy Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>(+)<\/strong>&nbsp;and select the<strong>&nbsp;Windows<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the\u00a0<strong>Configure Windows Updates <\/strong>policy and\u00a0click\u00a0<strong>configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) In the <strong>Policy Name<\/strong> field, enter a new name for the policy or keep the default.
