You can also see the release train details for macOS and Windows releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To view your OS distribution<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; Devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Overview<\/strong>&nbsp;tab and hover over each part of the Fleet Distribution graphic to see the number of installed devices by OS type.&nbsp;The tabs in the Fleet Distribution section are conditional and only appear if you have those types of devices in your fleet for the selected Time Frame.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the\u00a0<strong>Activity<\/strong>\u00a0tab to see a summary of the total number of new and deleted devices, as well as patch events like major and minor OS updates.\u00a0The OS tabs display a breakdown of your devices by OS version. For example, select\u00a0<strong>MacOS<\/strong>, then click\u00a0<strong>Name<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Version<\/strong>, or\u00a0<strong>Device Count<\/strong>\u00a0to reorder that column\u2019s information. Clicking\u00a0<strong>Version\u00a0<\/strong>(or\u00a0<strong>Build\u00a0<\/strong>for Windows) provides additional details for devices that use that specific OS version. You can then filter that list by macOS version, Windows build, or Ubuntu version.<br><br>Get detailed release information by selecting a tab to view the percentage of devices by OS, the number of devices running each version, and End of Service status for Windows and Mac. For example, select the\u00a0<strong>Win<\/strong>\u00a0tab to see Windows information:<br><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1037\" height=\"247\" class=\"wp-image-81639\" style=\"width: 700px\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfo.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfo.png 1037w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfo-300x71.png 300w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfo-1024x244.png 1024w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfo-768x183.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" \/><br>Major OS release information for Windows and macOS appears in the third column: \n<ul>\n<li><strong>LATEST<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This OS version is the most recent &nbsp;release.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NEAR END OF SERVICE<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Windows<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The end of service date published by Microsoft for Windows Home and Pro is less than 90 days from the current date, so Windows versions display an EOS date. See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/agent-compatibility-system-requirements-and-impacts\">JumpCloud Agent Compatibility, System Requirements, and Impacts<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>END OF SERVICE<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>MacOS<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This OS version is not receiving security updates from Apple as it is running a version greater than the latest three major releases. See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/prepare-now-for-end-of-support\">Prepare Now for End of Support<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Windows<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This OS version for Windows Home and Pro is not receiving security updates from Microsoft. See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/prepare-now-for-end-of-support\">Prepare Now for End of Support<\/a>.&nbsp;Windows versions also display Microsoft\u2019s published EOS dates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No banner<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This OS version is supported, but is not the latest version.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> OS version release information is not available for Linux.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>You can&nbsp;click&nbsp;<strong>View All Devices<\/strong>&nbsp;to link to the Devices tab with the specific OS family filter already applied. The&nbsp;<strong>Activity&nbsp;<\/strong>tab shows you the Event Frequency graph.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) With the&nbsp;<strong>Activity&nbsp;<\/strong>tab selected, click the&nbsp;<strong>Time frame<\/strong>&nbsp;filter and choose a range to narrow the time range&nbsp;to filter&nbsp;events and active devices. The Event Frequency graph at the bottom of the page lets you filter by event type.&nbsp;<br><br>For accounts that have Directory Insights included in their plans, the&nbsp;<strong>Time frame<\/strong>&nbsp;filter allows Admins to filter up to 90 days. For accounts without Directory Insights, the time range is limited to 15 days:<br><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"309\" height=\"367\" class=\"wp-image-81637\" style=\"width: 300px\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchFilter.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchFilter.png 309w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchFilter-253x300.png 253w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 309px) 100vw, 309px\" \/>&nbsp;<br>For example,&nbsp;<strong>Last 7 Days<\/strong>&nbsp;indicates that the device has been contacted by JumpCloud within the last 7 days. If you are unable to select the 7 Days option, there were no devices active during this time. The filter default is Last 7 Days.<br><br>The <strong>Last 30 Days<\/strong>&nbsp;indicates that the device has been contacted by JumpCloud within the last 30 days. If it\u2019s been more than 30 days since a device was contacted, the device will not display here<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depending on the tab you chose in Step 4, you can quickly view a detailed summary of the total number of new and deleted devices, as well as patch events like major and minor OS updates. Select the\u00a0<strong>Activity\u00a0<\/strong>tab, then click\u00a0<strong>View Activity Log<\/strong>\u00a0to go to Directory Insights to see more detail. You can also click the device\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Hostname\u00a0<\/strong>link to get more detail about the device.\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>You must enable Directory Insights to view data older than 15 days. To learn how to subscribe, see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/directory-insights\">JumpCloud Directory Insights<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To view OS-specific release information, select an&nbsp;<strong>OS&nbsp;<\/strong>tab in Fleet Distribution to view the Recent OS Releases table. Viewing the latest available releases, latest versions, and release dates for a specific OS can help you plan your update schedule.&nbsp;<br><br>For example, select the&nbsp;<strong>MacOS<\/strong>&nbsp;tab<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>to view the latest macOS&nbsp; versions:<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1482\" height=\"485\" class=\"wp-image-81635\" style=\"width: 700px\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfoMac.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfoMac.png 1482w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfoMac-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfoMac-1024x335.png 1024w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DevicePatchMgmtFleetInfoMac-768x251.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1482px) 100vw, 1482px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) To view your existing OS patch policies:\n<ol class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; Policy Management<\/strong>, then select the&nbsp;<strong>Patch Management<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>OS&nbsp;<\/strong>tab, then view existing OS patch policies.&nbsp;You can also&nbsp;click (<strong>+<\/strong>) to create a policy with customized rules to automatically upgrade your devices. See&nbsp;<a href=\"\/support\/create-a-macos-patch-policy\">Create a MacOS Patch Policy<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-a-windows-patch-policy\">Create a Windows Patch Policy<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-a-linux-patch-policy\">Create a Linux Patch Policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also view the latest OS releases by going to the Release Trains area and selecting an OS tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>You can view existing Chrome browser patch policies by selecting the&nbsp;<strong>Browser<\/strong>&nbsp;tab. <\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li>\u200b\u200b\u200bThe <strong>Overview<\/strong> page is the default view when you go to\u00a0<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; Devices<\/strong>. To make the Devices List be your default page, follow these steps:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Devices<\/strong>&nbsp;tab, then click&nbsp;<strong>Manage Devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toggle&nbsp;<strong>Set Devices List as Default Page On<\/strong>&nbsp;so that the white button moves to the right.
