The Compliance Enforcement policy lets you configure specific scalable actions to take when devices aren\u2019t compliant with the policies you\u2019ve established \u2013 you control when to block the device, and when to wipe the device, if desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>JumpCloud\u2019s Android Enterprise Management Mobility (EMM) is configured for your organization. See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/set-up-android-emm\">Set up Android EMM<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your Android devices are enrolled in EMM. See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/add-and-manage-android-devices\">Add and Manage Android Devices<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/users-enroll-your-personal-android-device\">Users: Enroll Your Personal Android Device<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Considerations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Applies to devices on Android 7.0 or later.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supports the following management modes:\n<ul>\n<li>Work Profile &#8211; Personal device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work Profile &#8211; Company-owned device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fully Managed device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dedicated device<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To create an Android Compliance Enforcement policy<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Policy Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>All<\/strong> tab, click (<strong>+<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the New Policy panel, select the <strong>Android<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the Compliance Enforcement policy from the list, then click <strong>configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"604\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/compliance-enforcement-1024x604.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-103099\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/compliance-enforcement-1024x604.png 1024w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/compliance-enforcement-300x177.png 300w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/compliance-enforcement-768x453.png 768w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/compliance-enforcement-1536x906.png 1536w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/compliance-enforcement-2048x1208.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>On the New Policy panel, optionally enter a new name for the policy, or keep the default. Policy names must be unique.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For <strong>Policy Notes<\/strong>, enter details like when you created the policy, where you tested it, and where you deployed it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"is-lower-alpha\">Under <strong>Settings<\/strong>, complete these fields for each policy specified:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Policy<\/strong>: Select the policy group you want to apply the compliance enforcement actions to:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong> &#8211; See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-an-android-passcode-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create a Passcode Policy<\/a> for parent policy information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimum API Level<\/strong> &#8211; See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-an-android-application-based-restrictions-policy\">Create an Application-Based Restrictions Policy<\/a> for parent policy information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lock Screen<\/strong> &#8211; See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-an-android-lock-screen-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create a Lock Screen Policy<\/a> for parent policy information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Encryption<\/strong> &#8211; See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-an-android-device-restrictions-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create a Device Restrictions Policy<\/a> for parent policy information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>VPN<\/strong> &#8211; See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/create-an-android-vpn-restrictions-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create a VPN Policy<\/a> for parent policy information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Block Noncompliant Devices After<\/strong>: Enter a number from <strong>0<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>30<\/strong> representing the number of days after which a noncompliant device is blocked from accessing apps and data on the device.&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Apply Block To<\/strong>: Select <strong>Work Profile<\/strong> to block use of apps in the Work Profile only (apps in the Personal Profile remain unaffected), or <strong>Device<\/strong> to block apps in both the Work Profile and the Personal Profile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wipe Noncompliant Devices After<\/strong>: Enter a number from <strong>0<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>30<\/strong> representing the number of days after which a noncompliant device is wiped. A wipe will either reset the device, or delete the device\u2019s Work Profile. This number should be greater than the number of days configured for the block action.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Preserve Factory Reset Protection Data<\/strong>: Select whether to preserve the Android Factory Reset Protection data on the device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>To apply a block immediately, set <strong>Block Noncompliant Devices After<\/strong> to <strong>0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>To unblock a non-compliant device that has been blocked as a result of this policy, the end user will need to bring the device into compliance, or the Admin will need to remove the policy from the device.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Important:<\/strong> \n<p>A factory reset erases all data from the phone.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>(Optional) Select the <strong>Device Groups<\/strong> tab. Select one or more device groups where you\u2019ll apply this policy. For device groups with multiple OS member types, the policy is applied only to the supported OS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Select the <strong>Devices<\/strong> tab.
