Please feel free to tailor the bullets according to what your organization needs, and for a more in depth run down, consider reading \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/resources\/security-training-employee-education-essentials\/\">Security Training 101: Employee Education Essentials<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure Identities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Use long, complex passwords that are unique and impossible to guess.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Never reuse passwords.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Utilize a password manager.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Enable MFA wherever possible.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  For password changes, always navigate to the actual website. Unless it\u2019s a password reset email you initiated, it\u2019s a red flag if an email requests for you to change a password in the email.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/label><\/span>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure Work Devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Only do work on your work system.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Make sure it\u2019s always up-to-date with the latest system updates and patches.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  [Insert Policy Here] is required on all work devices (i.e. Antivirus, Full disk encryption, system screen lock, disabled guest accounts, etc.)\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  You are responsible for your devices, so always be thinking about how to keep them safe. Always know where your devices are and who could have access to them.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Contact [insert name\/contact info] immediately if you notice your device is missing.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Lock your laptop whenever you walk away from it.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  MFA must be enabled on all laptops where possible.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Never use a USB drive that wasn\u2019t purchased by you or the company, and never use one that was given to you by someone outside of the company. When possible, grant access on an individual basis.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Make sure all data is backed up in the appropriate place.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Encrypt data when it makes sense, or place that data in files and folders with very strict permissions.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t consider email a secure medium of communication. If you think you have lost control over your email, contact [insert name\/email address] right away.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Do not click on links in emails. When possible, manually navigate to the site to complete any action the email is requesting.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t trust an email is from who it claims to be.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t open attachments from emails you\u2019re not expecting, and stick to sharing files via [insert name of designated file sharing software: e.g. Google Drive, Office 365, etc].\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure Browsers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Use Chrome.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t add plugins without a true business need.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Stay away from websites that are using HTTP and not HTTPS, but don\u2019t solely rely on that green lock to determine if you are safe or not. Take five seconds to double check the rest of the url.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure Phones<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Phones must be protected with a password or a pin, and ideally your phone is wiped after a certain number of incorrect login attempts.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Remote wipe should be enabled on your phone. After all, if email is on your phone, a lot of damage can be done if it gets lost or stolen and broken into.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Keep your phone up-to-date with the latest security patches.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure the Office<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  We have the following for office security:\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<span style=\"margin-left: 40px\">[cameras, guards, etc.]<\/span><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  No tailgating (strangers sneaking in as the door closes).\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Erase content on whiteboards when you\u2019re done.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  When you notice an unfamiliar person in the office, feel free to question them and find out what they need. If necessary, have them wait in a designated visitor area.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/white-security-camera.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27507\" width=\"191\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/white-security-camera.png 500w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/white-security-camera-80x80.png 80w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/white-security-camera-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/white-security-camera-60x60.png 60w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure Intellectual Property<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Anything you develop for the company belongs to the company.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t download or save intellectual property on personal drives.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t discuss intellectual property with anyone outside of the company.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure WiFi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Avoid using public WiFi altogether if possible.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  When you absolutely need to use public WiFi, use a virtual private network (VPN).\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Connect mobile devices only to [insert name of network].\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Only connect work systems to [insert name of network].\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secure Interactions with the Public<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Always know who you are talking to.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Be wary of interactions that are not initiated by you, and never give out information in these situations. If it\u2019s legitimate, they should already have everything they need.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  You will be targeted because of your connection with the company. If you ever have an interaction with someone where you feel pressured to give an answer right away, the answer is no.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Don\u2019t share private information with the public.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Watch out for malicious links in social networking communication.\n  <span class=\"checkmark\"><\/span><\/label><br>\n<label class=\"container\">\n  <input type=\"checkbox\">  Be careful about what information you post on social networks.
