In the 2022 State of the SME IT Report, we discovered some key themes across responses, which are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked about the biggest challenges IT teams have faced since April 2021, 59.4% said security<\/strong>, followed by device management (48.1%), migrating workers to some form of remote work (47.8%), and ongoing management of remote workers (45.5%).<\/p>\n\n\n
When asked if the war in Ukraine has impacted their organization, 39.7% of respondents either agreed or strongly agreed<\/strong>, 23.5% were neutral, and 36.7% disagreed. <\/p>\n\n\n
When asked about recession planning, 26.2% of respondents said \u201cYes, we\u2019re doing recession planning\u201d, 32.7% said \u201cWe\u2019re considering it, but nothing yet\u201d, and 24.7% said \u201cNo, we aren\u2019t doing any recession planning but it\u2019s a good idea\u201d<\/strong>, while the final 16.4% said \u201cNo\u201d or \u201cI don\u2019t know\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n
When asked if supply chain disruptions and\/or product shortages have hurt their business, 2.8% of respondents said \u201cDisastrously\u201d, 30.5% said \u201cSignificantly\u201d, 28.1% said \u201cSomewhat\u201d<\/strong>, and the final 38.6% either chose \u201cNeutral\u201d or \u201cNot at all\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
When asked if they would prefer to use a single tool\/solution to do their job over managing a number of different solutions, 74.6% of respondents either agreed or strongly agreed<\/strong>, while 25.4% disagreed.<\/p>\n\n\n
When asked how they felt about the statement: I am happier in my job than I was a year ago, 60.4% of respondents either agreed or strongly agreed<\/strong>, 27.2% feel the same as they did last year, with only 12.4% disagreeing or strongly disagreeing.<\/p>\n\n\n
The state of the world around us is constantly changing, and so is the world of the IT admin. IT is an integral department that lays the groundwork for everything else in an organization to be built upon. Because of this, it\u2019s integral to keep an eye on IT\u2019s biggest concerns, priorities, and accomplishments to keep the organization on track and improve employee satisfaction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
