SaaS Management: monday.com Connector

JumpCloud® SaaS Management gives you visibility and control over shadow IT and SaaS app use within your org. Connectors detect shadow IT without adoption of a browser extension and provide a significant increase to the valuable usage and security insights.

The monday.com Connector retrieves the user list from the monday.com API. Using periodic polling for regular updates, it captures new users and new application associates to keep data accurate and up-to-date.

monday.com User: Provides an up-to-date list of monday.com users.

Prerequisites:

  • You must be a monday.com admin with API access.

Considerations:

  • Based on your organization’s size, the initial collection of data may take some time, up to an hour.

Configuring monday.com

  1. Log in to your monday.com account.
  2. In the top-right, click your profile icon and click Administration.
  3. Go to Connections > Personal API token.
  4. Copy and save the Personal API token. You'll need this to complete the JumpCloud configuration.

Important:

For security reasons, you'll only see the API token once. Save it in a secure location before closing the window.

Configuring JumpCloud

  1. Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal.
  2. Go to SECURITY MANAGEMENT > SaaS Management > Settings.
  3. Under SaaS Management Settings, click the Connectors tab, then click + Add Connector.
  1. Click the monday.com connector.
  2. Enter the following information:
    • The Connector name.
    • The API Token copied from monday.com.
  3. Click Connect and then Save Connector. You will now see monday.com in your list of Connectors.

Note:

If permissions are accidentally removed, or if the admin who configured left your organization, the connector will stop working and you will be prompted to Reconnect.

Required Permissions

  • This connector requires a Personal V2 API token with read-only access to user data and profiles. When you generate this token from your Admin account, it automatically inherits the necessary read permissions.

Uninstall/Remove

  • On the Connector’s detail page, click on Delete Connector and follow the prompts.
  • To revoke the permissions granted to JumpCloud, delete the API token in monday.com.
