JumpCloud® SaaS Management gives you visibility and control over shadow IT and SaaS app use within your org. Connectors detect shadow IT without adoption of a browser extension and provide a significant increase to the valuable usage and security insights.
The Apollo Connector retrieves the user list from the Apollo API. Using periodic polling for regular updates, it captures new users and new application associates to keep data accurate and up-to-date.
Apollo User: Provides an up-to-date list of Apollo users.
Prerequisites:
- You need an Apollo account with admin access.
Considerations:
- Based on your organization’s size, the initial collection of data may take some time, up to an hour.
Configuring Apollo
- Log in to your Apollo account.
- Go to Admin Settings > Integrations.
- Go to the API option and click Connect.
- Click API keys then, click Create new key.
- Enter a name for your API key and set it as master key using the Set as master key toggle.
- Copy and save the API key. You'll need this to complete the JumpCloud configuration.
For security reasons, you'll only see the API key once. Save it in a secure location before closing the window.
Configuring JumpCloud
- Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal.
- Go to SECURITY MANAGEMENT > SaaS Management > Settings.
- Under SaaS Management Settings, click the Connectors tab, then click + Add Connector.
- Click the Apollo connector.
- Enter the following information:
- The Connector name.
- The API key copied from Apollo.
- Click Connect and then Save Connector. You will now see Apollo in your list of Connectors.
If permissions are accidentally removed, or if the admin who configured left your organization, the connector will stop working and you will be prompted to Reconnect.
Required Permissions
- This connector requires an API Key that is configured as a Master API Key in Apollo. This status grants the necessary access to retrieve the organization's user list and other user data endpoints.
Uninstall/Remove
- On the Connector’s detail page, click on Delete Connector and follow the prompts.
- To revoke the permissions granted to JumpCloud, delete the API key in Apollo.
