Troubleshoot: Revert GWS SSO to Standard Authentication

If you're having issues with JumpCloud SSO authentication to Google Workspace (GWS), you can revert the SSO configuration disabling Third-party identity provider SSO within Google's Security settings.

Symptoms

JumpCloud’s SSO connector is not allowing user authentication into Google Workspace.

Resolution

To disable Google Workspace SSO, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Google Admin Console.
  2. Select Security.
  3. Select Set up Single sign-on (SSO).
  4. Disable SSO by clearing the checkbox labeled Set up SSO with a third-party identity provider.
