Manage Policy Group Templates in the MTP

You can leverage the MTP to view and import policy group templates across your tenant orgs. You can also edit policy group templates and bind or unbind policies to the templates.

Importing Policy Group Templates in the MTP

You can import policy group templates across your tenant orgs to the MTP. 

 To import policy groups in the MTP:

1. Login to your MTP.
2. Click the Policies tab to view the Policy Group Templates. 
3. Click Import to view the Import Policy Groups modal that lists all available policy groups across your orgs. 

4. Click the expand icon next to each group to view all the policies associated with that policy group.
5. Select the required policy groups and then click Import.

The selected policy groups will be imported and added as templates to the Policy Group Templates page. The associated policies will be added as configured policies in the Policies page and will be available in the MTP.

Editing Policy Group Templates

You can edit the policy group templates to bind or unbind policies.

To edit a policy group template:

1. In the Policy Group Templates page, click any template that you want to edit.
2. In the Details section, modify the name and description as required.
3. Click Policies to view all the policies associated with the template.
4. Click Add Policies to bind more policies to the template. This displays the Available Policies window, showing all policies across all orgs in MTP.
5. Use the search option to find and select the policies that you want to bind and then click Add Policies. These policies will be added to the policies list as configured policies and their corresponding checkboxes will be selected, indicating their association with the template.

5. Click Save.

Your changes are saved and the policies will be added to the template.

Deleting Policy Group Templates

To delete policy group templates:

1. In the Policy Group Templates page, select the checkbox next to the templates that you want to delete.
2. Click Delete.
3. Enter the total number of templates to delete in Confirm number of policy group templates to delete.
4. Next, click Delete.

The templates will be deleted and removed from the page.

Importing Policies in the MTP

You can also import policies in the MTP.

1. In the MTP, click the Policies tab and then click Policies to view the page. All the configured policies available in MTP are listed here.
2. Click Import to view the list of configured policies available across all orgs in the MTP. 
3. You can use the filter options to find specific configured policies. 
4. Select the configured policies that you want to import.
5. Click Import.

The configured policies will be added to the policies section and be available in the MTP. These policies can be associated with Policy Group Templates as required.
