JumpCloud Agent Release Notes for July 20, 2026

New Agent release (version  2.147.7)

Note:

Agent releases are rolled out over the course of the week. You may not see these changes right away. 

All OSes

Enhancements

  • Added SMS OTP authentication factor support. This enables SMS-based multi-factor authentication (MFA) for logins and password changes on managed devices.

macOS and Windows

Enhancements

  • The Self Service App Catalog now processes state changes only to the applications you interact with. This eliminates unnecessary retries and speeds up application management actions.

Windows

Fixes

  • The Windows tray app now correctly hides admin-initiated uninstalls from the application list, preventing user confusion about the application's state.
  • Resolved an issue causing intermittent login window bugs on devices with a large number of bound users.

Linux

Enhancements

  • Removed unnecessary sudo usage from agent operations to reduce Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) security alerts and improve system audit log clarity.
